Police say that 24-year-old Hannah Martin was crossing the highway to get to the Tavern Sports Bar when 45-year-old Kenneth Harrison ran into her with his 2005 Chevy Tahoe.
Martin's body landed in the parking lot of the tavern where efforts to save her life failed, and she was pronounced dead after being transported to a hospital, according to an investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Harrison had pulled his truck into the parking lot, where an unknown number of tavern patrons and bystanders assaulted him and beat him so badly he was airlifted to a local trauma center. He was placed on life support before eventually dying.

Harrison was previously convicted of beating a man to death in 2011.

I’m sure alcohol played no part in any of that.

What “Try That In A Small Town” is all about. The far-left freakos hate that song. Jason Aldean rules!

I’d like to know more about the circumstances. She was crossing a highway??? I mean it’s possible that he was being completely negligent, but it’s also possible he hit her without ever seeing her.

Another article on this subject linked to a 2011 article on Harrison:
Kenneth E. Harrison, 33, of Elberta was facing a murder charge in the death of Sanford Lee Ledbetter by blunt-force trauma. Harrison pleaded guilty today in Baldwin County Circuit Court to an amended charge of manslaughter, according to court records.
Very little information available in what actually occurred here, but it sounds like Harrison was a real piece of work.

True. That part of Hwy 31 is two-lane, but still a highway. And it was at night. And she's black (not poking fun, but for whatever reason blacks here in Alabama wear dark clothes when crossing the street at night). So it could be a situation where she thought he saw her but didn't. As another detail, this was close to midnight Saturday night (dark), but not raining.
So it could have been negligence on the driver's part, or the woman's part. We don't have enough info.

Sounds like she was jay walking across a highway and some guy minding his own business going down a highway hit her.

Agree. It's disappointing how many assumptions are being made here.

“local justice used to be a thing.”
Just wait until power blackouts, insects for food, more woke crap.
Don’t try that in a small town.
To: angcat
Interesting coincidence, but that can’t be the same person. In 2015 this Hannah Martin would have been 16 years old.
