pecter is haunting American politics—the specter of #MAGACommunism. In recent weeks, the hashtag has trended on Twitter, leaving most observers baffled: What in God’s name could Donald Trump’s movement ever have in common with communism? Is this a sarcastic take on America’s surreal politics?

Much of its appeal comes from its irreverent combination of seeming opposites. The memes that have proliferated under the hashtag—such as one showing Trump holding Mao’s Little Red Book—have a ludic quality recalling the spirit of the Trump 2016 campaign. But MAGA communism isn’t a mere joke. Indeed, some powerful actors in American society are taking it seriously, as shown by Google’s decision to affix a warning to search results related to the hashtag.

It’s unclear exactly who coined the hashtag, but it was popularized by Haz Al-Din, the brain behind Infrared, a self-described Marxist-Leninist YouTube channel—and beginning in early September, it spread on Twitter, in large part thanks to Jackson Hinkle, a popular communist commentator.

Al-Din is a gifted speaker—or “debate bro,” in the parlance of internet politics—who is capable of discussing heavyweight political theory in an informal, jocular manner. It’s enough to listen to one of his videos, or to read one of his dense Substack posts, to realize that Al-Din is dead serious about #MAGACommunism—that is, about the notion, which most people would find preposterous, that communists in America should support the MAGA movement.

I just discovered this in the last few days.

First I noticed a proponent of HAMAS and Palestine is a blogger often on Twitter named Jason Hinkle. A few days ago someone was calling him both a communist and conservative which to be honest confused me. I noticed it again this morning so I searched it up and indeed he calls himself a “MAGA-Communist”.

On initial examination it seems absurd, but from this article it makes some weird sense. Essentially the elites have ruined the lefts appeal to people with their ridiculous and deadly WOKE ideals of sex changes, trans, anti-family, open borders etc etc. Communists claim Trump started with MAGA a new “class struggle” of common people against the ruling coalition of elitists like Dorsey, Bezos and all their deep state political elites like Clintons, Biden’s, Bushes etc.

As the communists entire worlds view revolves around the idea of class struggle they amazingly see MAGA as a natural ally.

I suggest the movement is fake. They are most likely communists, but they are not really for Trump at all. They are merely trying to make it seem as if communists back Trump tainting Trump with communist support, & therefore he must be a communist.

It's an old tactic being recirculate once again.

I think we best go cautiously although I’d love to have the far lefts vote split the elite Democratic Party.

If I recall my history…in the Russian Revolution. The Bolsheviks allied themselves with the democratic groups against the Czars power, then once they won they purged and killed their freedom loving allies to only institute a system far more repressive than the one it replaced.

Not actually that surprising: the traditional left focuses on the material conditions of the working class, i.e., labor's share of national income. The new left focus on race and gender.

The focus on race and gender and the imaginary goals of racial and gender "equity" promotes ever greater control by the managerial class and the administrative state: i.e., this focus supports the consolidation of all political power by the current political and corporate elites.

This ideology also fragments the working class by pushing blacks and other minorities against whites, rewards college indoctrinated whites with virtue signaling and the promise of a sinecure in the administrative state, and bribes minority elites with easy and unearned advancement as long as they are sock puppets parroting the equity agenda.

This focus rewards current US elites with ever greater administrative control and an ever greater share of national income and allows them to work together with foreign elites to loot the United States and every other country. The goal here is oligarchy in drag wearing blackface.

I think the Israeli/Palestine conflict is doing that task. Trust me the Democrats are in real panic mode right now. The press will never say so though, because they want to project a united image of confidence & strength for the Democrat Party, because people love confidence & strength. Good post you made, I think a quick look at wealth gap over time supports it from an economic point and the equity claims are supported by our societal decay of the last …decade or so?
