Fox News: Local fishermen slam Biden administration’s newly unveiled plans to industrialize Gulf of Maine

A group of fishing associations is sounding the alarm about new plans from the Biden administration to industrialize the Gulf of Maine by leasing two million acres of area for wind farm construction, a move that fishermen say will be detrimental to their business and marine life.

One large portion of the WEA is frequented by the endangered North Atlantic right whale, the groups said. Leasing the area to wind farming "is flatly inconsistent with a policy of endangered species protection."

Another problem is, the giant floating windmill structure has a very long anchor chain - the lateral distance is very long from structure to seafloor anchor.

The result is, as the wind changes, the giant anchor chain is dragged across the ocean floor, destroying the livelihood of the sea creatures.

Many structures; many chains; large areas of seafloor destruction.

- Said Dustin Delano, speaking for the New England Fishermen's Stewardship Association, on Fox Business, today, March 25, 2024.

This is already taking place in the Netherlands.

Climate is a scheme to destroy food supplies from fishermen and farmers.

Before I decide whether or not I have sympathy for them, I first want them to tell me, honestly, who they voted for in the last presidential election...

Dependent upon their answer, I will decide my sympathy level..

There are a lot of good people in Maine still, just outnumbered. The ilk abuse power and circumvent their own laws. This is the second step in killing the lobstering and fishing industry.

Being as Maine votes Democrat, they probably voted for Biden. They can embrace the suck.

“..Before I decide whether or not I have sympathy for them, I first want them to tell me, honestly, who they voted for in the last presidential election...”

I can tell you this: A good portion of these fishermen are in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. They had Trump flags flying off lobster boats. Maine has 2 electoral votes and they can be split. The 2nd Congressional District’s vote went to Trump.
As far as the southern part of the state is concerned, it’s totally communist. The natives just call it: “Little Massachusetts”.

THIS from the same chomo administration that is trying to limit offshore boating to 10 knots.

Offshore wind is going to be the most damaging element of the whole insane renewable project. Economic and environmental disaster and it won’t make a deciding difference.

Maine splits the electoral vote, and one district went from Trump if I recall. Don’t know if it was a coastal area.
