Winter is not the time to learn. Go on line and search by state. You'll find lots of sailboats. I'll try to find a link.

That's funny!!!!!!!!

Hubby is desperate to get a powerboat - but it is just not in the budget now, maybe next summer. I've seen some good deals on used ones around here.

We had the board marked OTD or OTFD, depending on which patient was due to be discharged. When asked by an administrator what did the F stand for, we piped up "Front". While living in San Antonio, we used ALC(a la casa). FLK will be around as long as there are FLKs.

That reminds me of the time when I was a court reporter. My judge always gave attorneys a lot of latitude, at the disgust of moi. I would send him a note via my computer to his computer. It was a one-stroker: wotfgs. Translation: Who The F gives a S.

We never got the tankers attention, but did get caught by it's wake. You know what happens in a bathtub if you bring your kees up then down a couple of times? Same thing happens to a 35' sailboat when a tanker goes through a canal - that is lined with rocks bigger than the Hulk.

Lekvar, yummmm! Fried in onions & a little oil,with either applesauce or sour cream on the side. Sauerkraut ones, too!

Since everyone else eats the other kinds, that just leaves more for me.

I love homemade saurkraut. No one in this household likes it. I love it over a big German weinie with lots of mustard.

You know, there are just some stories that manage to take my chronic state of disgust with the world and pound it into a sort of weary, sickened apathy. Ugh.

That's a riot! I'm tempted to start making up some of those to put on the final bills of customers who give me a bad time about paying.

Thanks for the ping, RAC. I was going to feign apathy to cover up my sorry school daze - the fonix spelling, months of hooky, being a bad influence on others - and then I spotted Gabz #211 and - rejuvenated by memories of happy hours cleaning the cafeteria after food fights - I risked posting an actual sentence at Rika's FR summer school. Phew.

It is an actual sentence, isn't it? (^;

Glad I saved that photo of you and Tiger. That thread has been pulled. Not only pulled, but deleted forever more. Check your post to it. It's poof! I was surprised it lasted as long as it did.

A better alternative than being run over, but not pleasant. Earlier in the summer, an idiot boater running balls-to-the-wall and acting like he was the only one on the lake pulled out of a cove and cut horizontally about 15 ft. in front of our bow. We had to stop dead and try to turn sideways to avoid being swamped by his wake. All four of us in the boat were yelling "Watch out, assh**! as loud as we could, but he was oblivious. About a mile down the lake, he did the same thing to someone else.

But would gabz prefer getting caught banging her knees up and down and getting her rocks off waking up with this tanker crew?
