State Sen. H. Russell Potts Jr. says neither of his gubernatorial opponents is telling voters the truth about how to deal with the state's transportation problem.
Gray hair is one thing Russ. It's your lack of gray matter that concerns us.
"It's the right thing to do for Virginia," he said.
He stands by his "moderate" record on abortion, he added.
Lack of grey matter is definitely a concern. Since when is raising taxes the right thing to do? How about cutting spending, now that sounds like the right thing to do IMO.
Chichester cautions against raiding fund for roadwork

Jerry W. Kilgore's transportation plan yesterday hit a road block erected by a powerful fellow Republican who has yet to back Kilgore for governor.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman John H. Chichester, R-Northumberland, said bankrolling roads with general fund dollars -- income and sales tax revenues that support education, law enforcement and human services -- "won't make a dent in our transportation problem."
