Democrat Joe Donnellys apparent lead over Republican incumbent Chris Chocola in the 2nd District congressional race appears to be shrinking, according to a new Tribune/WSBT-TV poll.
The poll of 400 likely voters, taken Monday and Tuesday by Research 2000, of Rockville, Md., shows Donnelly with a 50 percent-to-45 percent lead over Chocola, with 5 percent undecided and a 5 percent margin for error.
That compares to a similar poll taken in mid-September that showed Donnelly with a 50-42 percent lead over Chocola, with the same margin for error.

Who knows? Maybe Chocola will pull it out.
"Count on Chris!"
I've never quite understood how Chocola has fared so poorly in the first place. Who is this Donnelly person, anyway ?
Then, again, Indiana has had some peculiar preferences in the past 20+ years, electing liberal rodents from heavily GOP districts, even ones gerrymandered to elect Republicans !
"One thing we have been seeing in the last few days in particular is a lot of races with GOPers behind tightening. That's at least some evidence of a general, though slow, momentum towards the GOP. It's good, but it needs to be strengthened, sustained, and not upset by another scandal."
Please dont telegraph this to the MSM. Surely they will be rummaging around trying to find something.
I have trouble beliving the numbers for this race were ever as bad as they said. I know some people that work for Pence, and they said it was all about Mitch Daniels screwing up, but while sometimes Governor's actions spill over into national elections, it seemed very odd for me that it would do so to such a huge degree.
Indiana is going to be the state to watch on election night. So goes Indiana, so goes the House. If we win all three seats, we'll hold the house. If we win 2, it'll be close. If we don't win any, we're screwed.
I think you're right. And Indiana results are reported early, aren't they? Depending on how they go, this could either hurt or help us with turnout in the Western races.
