He doesn't admit it, but Dino Rossi seems to have made up his mind to run again for governor.
Even as the 2004 Republican nominee faces an investigation of whether he illegally used his public policy foundation as a front for a 2008 campaign, he reportedly is moving toward an announcement of his candidacy sooner than he has indicated. Some of his 2004 campaign operatives have been touting his 2008 prospects.
Rossi's announcement is considered likely before Thanksgiving and possibly as soon as mid-October. On Sunday during an interview, he repeated what he's said for months: He will decide before the end of the year whether to challenge Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire, who defeated him by 133 votes in 2004.
"Like I said before, before the end of the year," he said.

Campaigns sure last long. But given their great cost, this is probably necessary.
Hopefully, Washington’s Governor will have been elected by the people, not installed through fraud and chicanery.
Say WA? Evergreen State ping
FReepmail sionnsar if you want on or off this ping list.
Ping sionnsar if you see a Washington state related thread.

Actually, Dino Rossi won last time, Then he won the recount, and the re-recount, but ah! At last on the third recount, Gregoire pulled it off and took the prize! Found ballots in the strangest of places!
I wish him well, sounds like a good Republican. But I dont trust Washington State in the least to re-elect him.
On we can elect him again, but King County probably already has boxes of ballots hidden around to drag out when and if they are needed.
When I attended that Bill Richardson event with my colleague (on rail issues) (Bill and Publius' Excellent Adventure), my friend said that King County has this well of 3000 to 4000 ballots of dead people, homeless and old people in nursing homes that it can tap in any close election. So you're right.
Then how can we ever win? Maybe we should start making up our own hidden boxes of ballots.
If the margin is within 4000 votes, then they can roll out the graveyard vote — which means you have to win by a margin of greater than 4000 votes to safely win.
We had enough felons on the roll in Pierce County alone to make up the (completely fraudulent) “difference” in that election. Christine Fraudoire was NOT elected.
No, she did NOT defeat him. She got the Governor's post by STEALING it!
If it’s not close they can’t cheat.
Well they can still cheat but they just won’t win then.
