The College Republicans at Central Michigan University introduced their concept for a "Turn Michigan Red in '08" t-shirt in April of 2007, both as a fundraiser for their origanization and in an effort to show Republican unity heading into the 2008 elections.
In the last few years, Central Michigan University has hosted liberal speakers such as Michael Moore, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Thomas Hayden and Wes Clark. There have been no high profile conservative speakers brought to campus in recent history.

I wish the College Republicans luck. There is a lot of disillusionment in Michigan, and perhaps conservatives can benefit.
I think Hunter is the only one saying the right words for Michigan these days.

One would think, but look at how unpopular Jennifer Granholm is.
I dunno. How unpopular? I do not follow MI news that close. It was my impression she won twice and is very popular.
I must admit I am biased against MI. I never liked it even when I was dating my first wife (I found it ugly and depressing place. Especially Port Huron & Marysville. I was married in St Clair). Since then...well...

Her approval rating is only 29%.
Well if they need a speaker, I offer my services to them. I love speaking to young fresh minds about what it means to be Conservative and Why?
Woot!! Ohio State’s College Republicans (which I’m in) are hoping to keep Ohio red next year and not let the swing state turn to the dark side.

They've got their work cut out for them. Even with Molehern's unpopularity, even with the tax increase, even with our economy swirling the drain, our liberal Michigan brethren will still vote party line. JM2C.
