Poll: Palin tops Huck, Romney in Kentucky
The Politico ^ | February 24, 2010 | Glenn Thrush

Ron Paul was the straw poll winner at the CPAC convention last weekend – but Sarah Palin is the early frontrunner in bluegrass country.

Colorado-based GOP pollster Magellan Strategies threw a POTUS 2012 question into a statewide poll of 560 Kentucky Republican voters and found Palin leading the pack with 28 percent of the vote – with Mike Huckabee a close second with 24 percent. Mitt Romney was at 16 percent, undecided landed at 14, Newt Gingrich got 12, followed by Paul with 4 percent and Tim Pawlenty dead last at two percent.

The takeaway: Huckabee’s going to be a force in the borderlands and Pawlenty needs to get out of Minnesota and up his red-purple state profile ASAP.

Same results here in Washington State from the straw poll taken at the District GOP caucus on Feb 13th. I glanced at the tally sheet before leaving the caucus and Palin had a comfortable lead. I’m not worried about Romney and Huckabee being second. This far out name recognition means allot, and there were several names that many Northwesterners are not familiar with yet. Oh, and contrary to the CPAC poll, Ron Paul was ‘dead last’ with only 2 votes. Even Macain had more votes than him.

I don’t think so. I think the Rats are very afraid of her. Otherwise they wouldn’t be trying to destroy her. Besides this is Kentucky. What would be the purpose in rigging a poll in a very red state?

I sure hope so. I don’t want to see that RINO Rommney anywhere near a ballot and the Huckster had better stay on Fox TV playing his lame-ass bass guitar. At least he can’t screw anything up from there.

It’s surprising that Paul continues to poll well, given his recent gaffe on the Iran crisis.

My apologies for redundantly posting this, but for those that care about Sarah Palin or any true conservative having a fair shot at the 2012 nomination and the voters having a real choice, READ THIS ARTICLE. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2449005/posts#comment or http://thephoenix.com/Boston/news/96976-new-and-improved-romney/

MITT ROMNEY IS TRYING TO STEAL IT RIGHT NOW IN 2010.

FTA the last page: “But he’s got all the machinery moving behind the scenes.

For instance, though Kaufmann doesn’t acknowledge it, people familiar with the ongoing process say that he is acting as Romney’s point man to steer the RNC toward the same single-window primary schedule as existed in 2008. (A special GOP committee will present a plan for the 2012 primaries to the RNC this summer. The plan will maintain the four “pre-window” states, but some in the party are hoping to create some kind of staggered window to prevent a Super-Duper Tuesday scenario.)

And Romney has invested heavily in maintaining his national network, spending nearly $3 million last year out of his national Free and Strong America PAC and his five state-level PACs, which he set up as far back as 2004. Most of that has been spent to keep his core people and consultants on the payroll. Many others from the campaign have been “taken care of” with jobs working for supportive pols and business leaders, who function as “extensions of Romney Inc.,” as one Republican consultant puts it. “It’s easy to keep people around and interested if you’ve got money to spread around,” he adds.”

THE ARTICLE glibly explains that Romney has 6 PACS he’s using to keep hundreds on his payroll. Plus every week there’s a hit at Palin by these Romney supporters in the media. This weakling is too insecure to run on his own ideas and record, he has to pay henchmen/women to continue to attack Palin. Romney, Inc. has attacked Palin a hundred to one versus how often they’ve attacked barry o.

She won’t win. She is too easy to poke fun at. That’ll be her downfall. That’s how they did it with Bush.
