Obama? Now even Palin is looking like a winner [AK Palin-hater finally sees BHO for what he is]
The Anchorage Daily News ^ | July 24, 2010 | Paul Jenkins, Editor-Anchorage Daily Planet

If the presidential election were today and Sarah Palin somehow topped the Republican ticket, and even if she were joined in the race by an orangutan named Bob, and they were facing Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden -- or an idiot to be named later -- I would be forced to vote for her. Yeah, that's right. Vote -- for her. Sarah Palin. And Bob.

Embracing that reality makes me want to shower, and it is an acknowledgment that our political system has imploded. I'm the proud owner of a "Hater" T-shirt, for crying out loud, but the future is increasingly clear. If this nation is subjected to another four years of Obama's lunacy, it likely is finished, kaput, toasted.

How could you? some will ask. She's nuts and you are mean to her, they'll say. I'm not arguing with any of that. OK, so the lovely Sarah P. occasionally gets flabbergasted and speaks in tongues and jibberjabbers on Facebook and even makes up words such as "refudiated" or "misunderestimate"; how much damage can she possibly do in the White House? There would be people to watch her and keep the witch doctors away, and nobody in his right mind would even think of giving her the red-button thingy. She could do the State of the State on Twitter -- "Wow! Doing great, America. Pls rejoice. Hey, can see Wal-Mart from here." -- and save lots of valuable TV time.

She could issue long, convoluted missives about momma grizzlies and papa grizzlies and baby grizzlies through a phalanx of spokesboobs. It would be like when she was governor. It came to me during an epiphany triggered by a bag of jelly doughnuts that the lovely Sarah P. might be ''The One.''

Not exactly a resounding endorsement, but he is a hater, after all...

Hussein is a disaster. America must wake up and fight against his fascism.

The ADN makes the New York Times look centrist. That paper is the worst of the worst. Many years ago Sarah wrote them a letter telling them she can’t wait for the day they are bankrupt and out of business

Just another testament to the absolute stupidity of so many American voters.
It took so little to see what Obama is, a raving Marxist
that hates America as it was.
So many idiots, however, shut their eyes to the facts, or just did not care.
They had blind hate for Bush, and were willing to flush America for the bogus hope and change.
They sure got the change part, but very little hope for anything but a neo-Marxist state.

It will now take an act of GOD to save the USA.

I think that paper is why she wouldn't answer Katie Couric's qustion with a list of newspapers. The New York Times probably takes a week to get to Alaska. So that leaves her with USA Today and the ADN. She would not acknowledge ADN's existence, and USA Today doesn't even make a decent pie chart.

While she probably read ADN, she could never acknowledge it. I suspect she gets most of her news on line and from radio/tv.

I haven’t read a newspaper, in WOW, I don’t even remember when. I sure as heck don’t touch the LA Times, that is our version of the adn..I get all my news from online and from watching Fox News..been doing that for years. Yeah I think she most likely gets her news from the Internet since she always has that blackberry with her

I saw some stats recently that stated that almost no one under 35 subscribes to a newspaper anymore.

The only time we actually get the paper is on Sunday to get the coupons..my brother brings it to our house and I read the fliers for the different stores. Its true, hardly anyone reads the paper anymore, now with the Internet and television news, and considering how totally one sided the newspapers are, why bother reading them

I wish Palin had given an answer like this:

Couric: What newspapers and magazines do you read?

Palin: Time, Newsweek, New York Times, L.A. Times, Atlanta Journal Constitutin . . .

Couric: You read ALL of those?

Palin: Of course not, I only need to read one to know what the rest of them will say. So why bother?

Unless you have a bird, a puppy or a stall at the fish market, they make no sense.

This is remarkably sophomoric stuff even coming, as it does, from the MSM. I guess this is what passes for “writing” these days. Sad.

Couric: You read ALL of those?

Palin: Do you read any of them?

Couric: Well, no. I don't have the time, I'm a star. Besides, I only read off a script or teleprompter, and only because they pay me so well.

Paul Jenkins is certainly an uniformed fellow. For one example among many W invented the word ‘misunderestimate’ and Sarah Palin just uses it as a goof on that. Jenkins even uses it twice he is so self-convinced of his wit.

We used to get it for the coupons, now we just look online to see whats on sale, and if its something good (either Sam’s, Walmart or Aldi), we just go over to the store, and pick up one of them fliers they have by the door.

The newspapers call us probably bi-weekly, asking us to subscribe. I tell them “sorry, if I wanted propaganda, I’d watch MSNBC, and that’s free”

Two years ago, I actually had a solicitor for the SunTimes or Chicago Tribune (forgot which) actually start arguing with me after I gave her some line like that. She wanted to know if I got my news from FOX and she said it like it was going to insult me. Then she hung up. I was irate at first, wanting to call the newspaper back, but then I chuckled. I know I had ruined her day, and for some reason, that made me feel good.

Then for the last year, we were getting the really local paper (we live in the ‘burbs) just for the in-town stuff, but the paper really started taking a stance on tax increases for our school district. You know its all “for the kids stuff”. Then it came out how many administrators were on the books with 300k a year pensions (hundreds of them), but they wouldn’t back down or even give that side of the argument.

We said goodbye to them as well.

I do miss the police blotter though, that was always kind of interesting.

Oh, I don’t want to read any more of that. If that is not a 14 yr old who is two grades behind and failing again then we really are in trouble.
