Lets go balls to the wall for Christine ODonnell, Rush Limbaugh implored listeners on his show today, but Rush knows that his listeners are the choir to which he is preaching. Its the party establishment and the center-right commentariat that needs to hear the message, and in that vein, Rush took on Karl Rove on todays show. Rush demanded to know why Rove and other establishment figures want to make Christine ODonnells character the issue, when its the character of the current administration and Democratic leadership in Congress that should get the focus. Instead of issuing self-fulfilling prophecies of doom, shouldnt the Republican establishment start fighting for wins in Delaware? The Right Scoop got the video:
(VIDEO AT LINK)
Matt Lewis joins the fray in warning Republicans about the impact of snubbing ODonnell: The National Republican Senatorial Committee and Castle who withheld his endorsement of the winner were wrong to behave as they did. Though an NRSC spokesman issued a terse congratulations to ODonnell, word quickly leaked that the NRSC would not fund her general election race. This was a silly thing to do. Fortunately and wisely NRSC Chairman John Cornyn on Wednesday morning agreed to donate $42,000 toward ODonnells campaign and to evaluate future funding at a later date. This was smart damage control, but to many conservatives, the damage had already been done. Moreover, the GOP has not just offended ODonnell but has gone out of its way to offend her Tea Party supporters across the nation folks who were already highly skeptical of the party establishment. Similarly, Castles decision to withhold his endorsement was unchivalrous, and the fact that his staff continues to throw stones, referring to ODonnell as a con artist, is inexcusable.
Its not just inexcusable, its inexplicable. Its as if everyone forgot why we have primaries in the first place. This has been a gut-check moment for Republican leadership, and with a few exceptions, they have failed it.
I just sent money to O’donnell. I put in my message:
Let’s take it to Karl Rove and WIN
Exactly, and if McCain had fought Obama half as hard as he fought Hayworth he would have won.
Flyover Country versus George $oro$ minions.
I would amend the constitution.
it would require all Congresspersons and Senators to stay in their districts all year and to communicate for votes and conference committees via electronic means...
these POSs get way to cozy living in the cesspool that is DC.
McRove has got to go.
Birds of a feather flock together.
I would kinda agree on this staying in the district. My idea would be a mandatory stay for the whole month of April each year in your home district, with no business or travel outside of the state for the whole month. This would also include no interviews with any national media office, and just doing interviews with newspapers and stations in your home state. This international travel routine is what really has to stop...there’s nothing being gained.
Ruling vs. Country class
I am kind of surprised that Rush should feel this way. I thought he was always one of the establisment republicans.
My household has been living on a single income since my husband lost his job in April 2009. But, come hell or high water, I’ll find a way to send at least a little money to O’Donnell just as soon as I get home from work tonight.

Not hardly. He and McCain have had a running feud for years.
Rush was pretty hard on Dubya when he disagreed with George, but never with the hatred for Bush that Michael Weiner displays.
Reagan was and is Limbaugh's guideon.
When he went after her finances that pi$$3de me off. That’s is and “elite” statement. My mom had financial problems before she passed away. I’ll keep your family in my prayers. My sister lost her job 6 months ago. It’s been tough.
You're obviously not a Rush regular listener or you would never have posted that statement.
You must not listen to Rush very often. No surprise here.
I listen to Rush everyday. The only reason I said that is because I once heard Rush himself admit that he carried the water for Bush and the Republicans. At least I think that is what he said. It was a while ago so my memory may be faulty.
Thanks for your service.
