Not a fan: Krauthammer calls Palin 'rather weak' and gives her 'no chance of winning' in 2012
The Daily Caller ^ | December 31, 2010 | Jeff Poor

Is the idea that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin could be America’s next president laughable? Not only to many on the left, but also to conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer.

On Friday’s broadcast of “Inside Washington,” Krauthammer offered several reasons why Palin shouldn’t be considered the presumptive Republican nominee for the 2012 presidential election.

“What do you mean if not Sarah Palin in 2012?” Krauthammer said. “Who’s saying she’s going to be the presidential candidate? I don’t even hear her saying it. Her chances of being are smaller than half a dozen other people. If you talk to Republicans, I don’t think there are what, more than one in three who would tell you she has a chance of winning the presidency or even the nomination.”

Because of that, he said, she wasn’t the favorite.

“And she is not the favorite,” he continued. “She has a very strong core constituency but outside of that I think she is rather weak.”

Krauthammer has previously downplayed Palin’s chances and indicated he favors Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels. He said Palin would not be the ideal candidate to unseat a “vulnerable” President Barack Obama.

“Her negatives are over 50 percent,” Krauthammer said. “She has no chance of winning a general election. Why would you want a candidate who is going to lose against a Democrat who is going to be vulnerable and who is also extremely ideologically ambitious?”

He even employed a Keith Olbermann catch phrase to describe Palin and said even fellow Republicans didn’t see Palin as qualified.

“A half-term governor? I’m not sure Republicans think of her as qualified.” Krauthammer said.

Krauthammer is needed by his democrat masters now, they’ve destroyed all the pundits in their own camp that used to attract independents. They have to bring their fifth-columnists openly back into the fold so as to have someone to argue their case that isn’t already a known liar and fascist.

They really believed their own “forty years of democrat rule” propaganda and because they did, even those who played the role of moderate or conservative democrat showed their true fascist colors. Now everyone knows you can’t trust anyone who is a democrat so they’re working to bring some so called conservatives and independents up to speed to help them.

Where is Charles SourKraut hammer's record of public elected office and what public policies did he propose, draft and sucessfully work through the legislative process and sign into law?

I believe he is only another elitist pimp of the election industry!

“Has anyone asked him exactly who in the Republican bank of contestants he thinks is the best and why?”

Wanna bet he’d say, “Romney?”

I can say this much, that when I first started watching him, something did not sit right with me. His looks, a shifty demeanor, comments that were incongruous and non sequitur yet vaguely fit. The old adage “follow your gut” rings true again. I will be paying close attention when he speaks from now on.

Nonsense.

Your analysis of her stepping down as the Governor of Alaska as dooming her prospects revolves around the fact the entire narrative over the issue has been dictated by those who either loathe her or those who do not want her to run under any circumstance.

Once her reasons are laid out for all to ponder, assuming she does decide to run and then has center stage to present her “side” of any given issue, I believe your analysis falls apart. To be fair about this issue, hyping it to the extreme as you and others have does not make sense when you actually weigh the reasoning behind the move, and to idly dismiss the underlying reasons and to characterize her motives in a flippant manner simply states to me that not only are you dishonest about your reasoning behind such an analysis of that situation, you are actually reaching to find any undesirable available to voice your disapproval of the person in question.

In other words, this is a weak argument that has no chance of “weighing her down”, IMO.

I think Charles and Bill Kristol are both McCainiacs and hate seeing Palin making inroads against the RINOs. Elitist SOBs.

“You’re pushing the enemy line, here. I hope you know that.”

Doubting a candidate’s electability is “pushing the enemy line”? What nonsense.

You're pushing the enemy line, here. I hope you know that.

I don't know about that, Windy. Where Palin is concerned, her devoted fans are hopeful to the point of irrationality.

When I look at the prospects of a Palin candidacy, what I see is the liberals yelling "don't throw me into that briar patch."

Now, that is an interesting observation. That ought to teach us not to trust any so-called "conservative" pundit who works for state-run media. Should have been our first tip about Charles.

Both the media AND the Demos see Sarah as a weak candidate that they believe BO can beat. The media is working 24/7 to drive up Sarah’s negatives to weaken her even more. The Republican elites don’t want her to run because she isn’t one of them. The Demos are going to help her in the primary races all they can. IF she decides to run and right now that is a BIG IF, she needs our help to win. I believe she CAN win.

The media played a major role in discrediting Palin and supporting Obama.

It is going to take a lot to counter that before the next election.

Herman Cain, who has never held public office and is little known nationwide, has a better chance of winning than Palin does?

Surely you don't expect rational responses, Mr. Fingers. Why should you, when you're not dealing with a rational phenomenon? Instead, you're dealing with peoples' hopes and fears being projected onto a person whom they hope will save them. This is disturbingly similar to the emotional dynamic that informed Obama's supporters during his candidacy.

These fifth columnists are out in force these days. They were very effective in spreading lies and exaggerations during all eight years of Bush and it’s natural that those in charge of them think they can do the same between now and 2012. They were so sure they had nothing to worry about that they didn’t put nearly as much effort into 2010 as they had in 2006. They’ve learned and will be spreading all the crap that they think will float from now right up to the next election.

You can often pick such folks out by their moving from one issue to another until they get one with traction, at which time they’re suddenly an expert on that one. Interesting to watch.

You honestly bought that poster's "concern"? Don't be naive.

The "quitter" meme has been thoroughly analyzed and debunked here a thousand times. Anyone still pushing it, is indeed pushing the enemy line. Don't for a minute, think it's otherwise.

If I had the ambition, I’d go back and see what Dr. K wrote about Reagan before he was elected. I’m guessing his opinion of Reagan would be similar to what he says about Sarah.
