Its now been one month since I last did my prediction of the top five Republican Presidential Candidates, and this time around we saw a little change in rank. The biggest leap forward, was Mike Huckabee, which I previously had him placed third, he is now first. Followed by Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Tim Pawlenty.
(Chart at link)
Now Im sure many of you disagree with Romney being third behind Sarah Palin, but I dont view him as a good candidate. I dont hate him, and I certainly would vote for him over President Obama, but he doesnt appeal to me as a true Conservative Tea Party patriot that America needs to have as President.
(STRAW POLL AT LINK)
Ron Paul will likely run, and at this point it’s likely that he’d do better than last time. It would be hard to argue that it would be easy for Ron Paul to win head to head. But your list has Rubio more likely than Ron Paul?
But, Arnold could get the votes, Palin could get the votes. Romney is extremely flawed. If he was the nominee, Democrats would mock his mormonism non stop. And that’s the media as well. Non stop magic underwear jokes on SNL. Because all Mormons are Republicans. Democrats wouldn’t want to mock their own constituencies, but Republican constituencies, definitely.
Romney should just run as a Democrat. Republicans would lose a lot of Mormons.
Done, Sarah is leading.
MITT going to Iowa, but who competes in AMES in AUG?
Willard won in 2007. Remind me how that turned out...
well, Huck was the surprise 2nd in AMES and it started his rise to top tier. Also drove several out of the race.
If MITT skips Ames, it likely opens the door for somebody else to finish 2nd to Palin.
