A fellow tea-party candidate and Alaskan politician who drew Sarah Palin's endorsement in 2010 says it's not "out of the realm of possibility" that the former governor might still run for president in 2012 as an independent.
Former Republican U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller evaluated the chances Palin might run in a conversation with Aaron Klein during the host's "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" program on New York City's WABC Radio.
When asked if Palin, who announced she would not seek the Republican nomination for president, might consider running as an independent, Miller replied, "You know, I think it's unlikely. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility, but certainly if you ask her today, I think she would affirm that there's no way she would do that.
"In fact, she made it very clear in her statement that she is going to focus not only on making sure the Republican nominee wins in 2012, but also to assist in making sure that the Senate is retaken," he continued. "So at least taking her opinion today, she would tell you no."
Miller, however, refused to slam the door on the idea: "But I know Sarah, and the reality is she's a fighter. If she sees the country in desperate need of leadership not being provided by either of the two parties, who knows? Maybe she would jump into it."

Why would she do that. She has a better chance of winning the nomination.
Besides I think she will endorse Cain.
the only difference between Sarah and Cain is race and gender.
You do realize that I don’t work at WorldNetDaily, right?

Yeah thanks.
Very thoughtful. :)
The article was posted. It’s right here, so why?
Is it utterly bogus?
Because I can only imagine what it’s like to be Sarah Palin on a daily basis, to live that life, to get the death threats constantly, nasty jokes made about her, smearing her family, she did what was best for her and her family at this time. I dont blame her one bit. After the three years of emotional hell she has gone through of course she turned to her faith and family for guidance. No one knows what it’s like to be Sarah Palin unless they have lived in her shoes for one day. Was I disappointed that she chose not to run, of course I was disappointed, but I understood why she chose not to, and I respect her decision. It’s her life, her choice, she is young, she has her whole life ahead of her, one day if she chooses to run I will support her 100000 percent.
She's still right here in the thick of it. Alaska was a mess for decades and Sarah had to work her way up for nearly a decade to attain a position to fix it.
She's not gone, she's just tactical.
Who thinks up this stuff?
People who want to keep turmoil going.
Yes, I realize that - sorry if it looked as though I thought this.
It’s just WND and a host of others who can’t seem to give it up - even libs can’t give it up. Talking about Sarah had to be profitable.
BTW, I’m horribly disappointed about her decision but I understand it - I think - and anyway it recently became obvious that she wasn’t running.
I just got my copy of The Undefeated - but ironically, the title doesn’t seem to fit right now. How many of us could withstand the brutality she and her family have been faced with? I couldn’t. This is a sad and ugly time for our country.
Actually, she was asked about Cain, and she basically said that the next GIOP candidate should have experience as an elected executive, with a track record of shrinking budgets, slashing regulatory dampers on businesses, etc. She hadn’t yet made her decision about running, but she would not at that time support Cain. I can’t see how that would have changed for Mr. Gaffe-tastic.
“She hadnt yet made her decision about running, but she would not at that time support Cain. I cant see how that would have changed for Mr. Gaffe-tastic.”
Yea, bad wording on my part. When I said that “her votes are with Cain”, I used the plural because I meant the word “voters” - which does seem to be the case. I am aware that she, herself, is still holding her cards.
I don’t see her going Indy, but if she did, she’d definitely beat the GOP jerk and O’Bunghole. In a three-way race she would only need a plurality of the votes in enough electoral college states, and she’d have an easier time doing that than running aginst O’Bummer in a two-way race.
Fer chrissakes give it a rest.
Cain is turning out to be so gaffe-prone, he’s making Biden look like a luminary.
What I was saying is that many people just didn’t stay focused on Sarah. That’s just how people are. I’’ve always supported Sarah.
BTW, only people with “orientation” problems call other people squirrels.
I’m a Palin voter. I will never back Cain.
Cain's interview last week with Beck sealed it for me at this pt time. Thanks
“Im a Palin voter. I will never back Cain.”
That’s ok, everyone’s entitled to a preference. The other 80% are with Cain, so he’s still in good shape.
The commonly accepted wisdom is that a Palin independent run would be a repeat of Ross Perot.
That may not be true.
Perot was right, but generated nowhere the enthusiasm Palin has, nor were the problems anywhere near as obvious then as now.
Donald Trump was right. Just look at the enthusiasm he generated virtually overnight. The GOP is in some significant ways not right, in fact they almost humorously illustrate the line “you’re doing it wrong”.
RINOs sadly seem determined to remain out to lunch, with open borders and zero principles.
And the dems are just out to lunch.
Actually, Palin could possibly pull it off, perhaps ejecting the stupid party in the process.
Wonder if that’s what this has been about?
You need to listen to Cain perhaps and let her go do her thing..I knew all along she would not run. The family came first and should, as have given drama that never ends with her celebritydom ...not presidential.
