People have been asking me all week if conservatives will stick with Herman Cain, but I think he's got a bigger problem than the conservative vote. A lot more women than conservatives vote, and the women I've talked to are finished with him.
There's a new CBS poll which says that 38 percent of female Republican primary voters are "less likely to back him" now that more accusers have come forward. Among all registered voters, CBS reports that Cain has lost support among women since last month—from 28 percent in October to 15 percent now. My sense is that 15 percent of female registered voters remaining as Cain supporters may be a little high, because the poll was conducted before Cain's attorney started threatening any other potential accusers with the notion that they'd better "think twice" before coming forward.
This whole thing is a shame, because so many of us liked Herman Cain's ideas and business experience. I've been defending him for the last few weeks as he spoke out against the anonymous and vague charges. But they're not anonymous and vague anymore. There are faces, and names, and ugly stories to match. As Kathleen Parker put it, three accusers is a trend. Four is a tipping point.
Women who have worked in politics have seen his type before—casual with staff, jocular, kind of schmoozy. Fun at first, but then it becomes clear that they don't think the rules apply to them. After a while, there's an arrogance that sets in. Washington is full of bosses like that. I've worked for several.
Women don't like to talk about being sexually harassed because it's embarrassing. Life moves on and most of us would rather put bad incidents behind us. So for busy women—at least one of the accusers is a single mom with a teenage son—to come forward years later isn't easy. The fact that they're contemplating doing a joint press conference says to me they realize how high the stakes are, after they saw how Sharon Bialek's personal finances and work history were trashed. Safety in numbers.
These accusers who have come forward are about my age, and they seem very credible to me. They're not selling their stories to tabloids. They're not random women from all over the country, like some of former President Bill Clinton's accusers were. They all worked with Herman Cain specifically when he was at the Restaurant Association. They seem believable to me, and right now, he does not. I'm not defending him anymore.
He goes up against Obummer and Cain gets my vote!
And nobody sees a problem with this?
None of my friends are “done” with Cain - quite the contrary. Everyone I talk to is as supportive as ever and are angry at these false allegations!

No, they've sold their stories to the MSM... tabloids have a better track record of reliability than the MSM, and they actually get to the truth, especially when the MSM refuses to report on a matter reflecting badly on demoncrats, ie, Edwards. You want the truth? It will never appear as you hope to hear it... as a general rule, when the MSM puts stuff out there to slime a conservative, you can bet it will be presented in the worst possible light, however true or false it may be... Question, why the hell should anyone swallow, hook line and sinker, what the MSM puts out there? Its called baiting... to see if they can actually catch you making a misstep trying to respond to their "BLOCKBUSTER NEWS"... probably the worst thing Cain ever did was try to respond before catching his wits about him, you know, "good guys always finish last", that sort of thing...

Hey, all we need are four women to come out and claim that Mitt Romney harassed them. The truth of the accusation is apparently not relevant.
I do. I know people close to Cain. This accusation is pure garbage. Wait and see.
It is not logical that Mr. Cain harrased women during his tenure at the National Restaurant Association yet not before or after. It is much more logical that Mr. Cain is telling the truth and the charges are fabricated because Team Obama sees potential trouble and are using their usual Chicago style methods to deal with it.

This is nothing more than a political assasination by the left. It was orchestrated and the follow thru was executed. As a female who has been sexually harassed in my 35 year career, I say....GO CAIN. There I said it. They will not stop with Cain, and I will not let them pick the candidate for us. This BS must stop or we are going DOWN!!!
Its not like Axelrod had to invent them from thin air. Real women, some kind of real accusations that were documented in the past (Other than the last piece of a$$). I like Herman, a lot. I liked him 12 years ago when I first heard of him. Now, maybe the charges are all cr*p, but the fact is, there is _something_ that happened to some of these women, easy pickings for Axe. Axe is a piece of cr*p, for sure, but lets not pretend this stuff was made up on a whim.
The fact that just about every woman has been sexually harassed or assaulted was the reason WHY I didn’t believe these smears.
Let’s take the Bielick woman. How old is she? In her late forties? I’m assuming she’s a “liberated woman” and has had a normal sex life. I’m assuming she isn’t a sheltered nun that hasn’t been exposed to the world.
And she wants to come out all of these years after an incident in a car to complain?
It rings so false it’s laughable!
Because IF what she says happened in that car is true, it isn’t that earth shattering anymore! She should have processed it and moved on in life.
But, no... she trots it out and tries to damage his campaign. It’s beyond ridiculous!
A true sexual harassment memory with Cain would have been something that a mature, rational woman, after a span of years like Bielick, would have resulted in private conversations with family and friends.
NOT running to Gloria Alred. The woman’s a LOON.
Cain is innocent and I have never doubted it.
I have shown my support by making additional campaign donations and sent a letter of support to the Cain campaign.
We are seeing more of the battle of good vs. evil and evil does not play by any rules. Evil only seeks to destroy the good.
