since John McCain plucked her from the rural obscurity of Wasilla?
She was governor, and was heavily covered in the region, and managed to make a LOT of the right kind of enemies. She did a LOT more in two years in Alaska than Biden did in 20+ in the Senate.

Yep, she made money from selling her populism, not through insider trading.
She does nothing different than a movie star in selling their acting talents just as I sell my talents of engineering design consulting and racing data analysis.

This schmuck rambles like Johnny Appleseed. Starts ragging on Palin for making money from her bookwriting, and ends by decrying the generations-in-the-making result of indoctrinating our kids throughout their educational process with Anti-American revisionist bullshit.
I would comment that the author seems aware that he should dislike something, but his Liberal Mental Disease prevents him being able to put his finger on what "IT" is. The guy is a lost, empty, pointless, rambling imbecile... another sad victim of Liberal Indoctrination. A wasted human life.

The media and a spiteful b1tch in Alaska who kept filing ethics complaints against her in Alaska made Palin.
If they had left her alone after her VP run she would have gone back to being Governor and eventually gone back to being a housewife. But no: They had to try to destroy her.

Take Sarah, Corruption in Congress and insider trading, stuff it in a mental blender with a few choice drugs and out pukes this article. Unfortunately, like most profound revelations while toking weed, they are not so profound in black and white when the high wears off.
I would not mind if Congress Men made money selling books like Sarah did. But then, they would have to be smart enough to write books people would read.
So its a darn far reach to try to link Sarah's success at book writing to insider trading via influence peddling. Not quite the same thing as book writing. The two meet, well, nowhere in logic without very powerful drugs.
Cheap and sleezy may sell headlines, but books need content.

I was one of Sarah's biggest fans. Going out of my way to vigorously defend her whenever she got mocked by those who get all their info from MSM soundbites. I am now, however, deeply disappointed in her. My common sense instincts tell me that deep down she knew long ago she was not running for president. My best guess is that she put off a conscious decision and announcing it because, seriously, what would've her books, speeches, etc. been worth if she announced her intentions previously? Right now I have very little interest in what she has to say, and I'm fairly certain cash registers would've said the same thing if she announced her decision awhile ago. I think she got a little comfortable with her new found fortune and lost the driving edge that I loved about her. She's fully entitled to take the path that she has taken. But I like this website because people aren't afraid to express their opinions. That's mine. Go Cain! All of Sarah's views but he gave up a comfortable life to get into the fight.

Let me guess: You’re also a “lifelong Republican, but...” right? And you’re “concerned” about the direction that the Tea Party is taking us, or some such.

I'm one of the few true conservatives in Mass. Proud member of the Independence Tea Party here. We differ from other Tea party's in Mass. because we are strongly socially conservative as well as fiscally.
Why is the knee jerk reaction on this site to attack someone as a phony or a troll if they simply state an opinion? Let me ask you? Right now, what amount would you pay and how far would you travel to listen to a Sarah Palin speech? How about if she was a declared candidate? Can you at least admit she knew there would likely be a great difference in those answers?

Go Cain! All of Sarah's views but he gave up a comfortable life to get into the fight.
How stupid can you be to have such a thought??? Cain? The guy who have no clue what the right of return is and hardly knows where Israel is? The guy who flip flops as soon as it gets hot like on abortion, muslims...apologized to Cair..the guy who is a conservative because...what proof do you have of that?
Because he has no experience what so ever and his ego is telling him that he does not need to learn because he is so intelligent so he is a conservative? That Cain who knows nothing about nothing when it comes to governing and has only one response to everything - 999??? That Cain?
And you have the gutts to say that Cain is like Sarah? Sarah PROVED she walks the walk. Not only talk and change her mind after the polls go down.
How brain dead are the conservatives to even think of voting for Cain - not enough of one NO experience you want another moron in the White House??? Business experience does not gives you executive experience. period. And it shows A LOT with Cain.
Sarah has both - and a good one.
She is not running? No, right now she is not. And probably because of people like you.
I am as upset as you with her decision but the only thing you should do right now is try to get her back instead of endorsing the first moron out there that you call conservative just because he was never an insider or elected to anything..right..that's a good proof right there...
Elections are in one FULL year! We have time to build a big movement and call her back. If you are honest, that's what you should do - join the "reconsider" movement at C4P.
But are you honest?

Since you arrived here 20 days ago, I will give you a pass. I was all set to raise $2 million dollars for her campaign and will hopefully do so someday. I worked for President Reagan and know the real thing when I see it.

Thank you :-) And oh..here is so many now saying "I will vote for her if she was running" - they were the one who were spitting on her when everybody thought she was. May be they changed their mind at the state of the field right now - so freaking pathetic - but then what are they waiting for to fight to get her back instead of just saying "I would vote for her but..". I just don't believe them.
If enough of us would stand up for her now and FIGHT to get her back in the race we may succeed. But saying "I would vote for her but.." is not helping and does not convince me they really would vote for her.
But if they are really honest, then go to C4P, join the "reconsider" movement and FIGHT to get her back. We have an ad ready to go out in Iowa to ask her to reconsider. We need more money to make more ads. If they do that and join us, then I will believe them.

"Accumlate wealth faster than the rest of us"?
This from the woman who made $10-12 million within two years after quitting?
How can she say this without gagging? How can you post it without laughing?

Did she make that $12 million from shady backroom deals, bribes, corruption and/or insider trading as a public servant? Or was she a private citizen paid for her books, speeches, opinions, etc.? Kinda apples and oranges, isn’t it, FRiend?

Since your stupidity and hatred is so obvious I will have pitty and explain calmly that "the rest of us" means all of us. Generalities have exceptions. She is one who earned a lot of money fast but HONESTLY with her hard work, and God knows she did work hard days after days to promote conservatives and yes, her own books. That's called capitalism. NOT CRONY capitalism.
See, I said it calmly so with a bit of hope that will sink in..
