Sarah Palin: My Endorsement "Doesn't Amount To A Hill Of Beans"
RealClearPolitics ^ | December 1, 2011

(VIDEO AT LINK)

When asked if she has a candidate she would like to endorse in the 2012 GOP field, Fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin (R-Alaska) said she hasn't made up her mind as of now, and that it wouldn't matter. Palin said her endorsement would amount to a "hill of a beans."

"I think today, my personal endorsement, probably doesn't amount to a hill of beans today, at this point in the race," Palin said on FOX News' "Hannity" program.

Palin said later in the race perhaps her endorsement may have more weight, but admitted at this moment it doesn't matter. Referring to herself as a pundit, Palin said voters have to do their homework and shouldn't rely on the endorsement.

"I am leaning toward the candidate who can best articulate he being the antithesis of Barack Obama. He understanding what it takes to reform our country and not allow it to be fundamentally transformed away from the exceptionalism that is America. But, he who can promise to because he has experience in doing so," Palin said when asked what kind of candidate she would endorse. Transcript below....

“..crony capitalism...”

####

I despise that propaganda phrase.

It is just cronyism. Capitalism, by its very defintion, has nothing to do with it.

It is just the Left, ONCE AGAIN, gaining the high ground first with grossly misleading and inaccurate terminology. In this case demonizing capitalism, bu tying it to political favor corruption.

I know where you’re coming from, but I find something appealingly subversive about the way Palin has grabbed wording and phrases from the left to fit her own agenda. It really drives the libs crazy, as if she’s stealing something from their personal foot-locker. Just like she did by calling herself a “feminist,” while defining it as a more hearty 1800s-style “frontier feminism” of the Old West as opposed to 1960s/70s Steinem-era idiocy.

If Newt Gingrich gets the nomination, Sarah Palin will endorse him and give freepers yet more excuses to be jackasses.

as if they needed them

it really doesn't matter what it is, some folks just piss gravel on every thread

they did it on Sarah threads ..a few against her and many many on her behalf..all that twisted vitriol for zip...nada

then they attacked Bachmann who they saw as a threat to Sarah

then Perry...and he helped them..lol

then Sarah opted out...the salacious crap is my guess..damn shame

and they all ran to Cain and even now some are still swinging the bush axes for the mighty zot on behalf of an ever collapsing Cain whom they think is the victim of a battalion of conspirators from Democrats to Media to Perry and Romney etc

and they attack Newt 24-7 just because they can...and he gave em ammo indeed ..only on FR is a man who engineered a GOP congressional takeover half a century in the making and has a 94 lifetime ACU called a crazed liberal POS..simply amazing. Tom DeLay, the hammer of the Congress after Newt had a 93.

when that fails they will find something else to vent about

basically I have come to the conclusion this forum is a place for some to let themselves be the true jerks they can't be to the wife, kids, fellow workers and mother in laws...it's like therapy or something

JR ought to get the going rate for that service come to think of it

Well, she did just tweet this about half an hour ago...

SarahPalinUSA Sarah Palin
Glad Santorum wants to re-industrialize USA w/ eliminating the corp income tax on manufactures.

That's what needs to be done :re-industrialize the USA.

but that's only 1 thing , tax cuts.

2. We also need to reduce regulations on manufacturers ( eliminate the EPA etc.)
and most importantly

3. stop importing manufactured products from China , Mexico ,Asian countries and other countries but especially from China.

I wasn’t referring to just Sarah’s use of the term, however you make an excellent observation ( and example), regarding how is she is able to appropriate and redefine the Left’s propagandizing terminology.

She is so very savvy, and understands the utter importance of words and the proper foundational framing of an issue.

I found it fascinating that she expressly put out the criterion tonight that the candidate must have a record of seeing actual budget cutting through, whether in a state house or congress. She also pointed out that oh, by the way, congress has never cut its budget.

That would thus rule Gingrich and Santorum out based on their records. None of the governors running oversaw actual cuts in their state budgets either.

But Palin was responsible for seeing absolute budget cuts in Alaska.

She’s trying to persuade herself and us that that isn’t so. Annointings are hard to shirk.

I've thought about that a lot, and have wondered how heavy her head lays upon her pillow at night. Does she have a hard time looking in the mirror as she applies her daily makeup?

I don't know for sure, but I believe that the dismal prospects of the race weigh heavily on her mind. I can't begin to imagine the degree of pressure I'd be feeling, if I knew in my heart that I was allowing lesser beings to usurp my destiny and duty.

She’s either:

1) In God’s will, and still is

2) Was in God’’s will, and no longer is

3) Never was in God’s will. ( and we were thus fools! )

I have been noticing you...you post too sharp to be so new.

I’m not a mod (obviously) and agree with some of your stuff.

Pretty ballsy to claim we were founded primarily by Protestants...yep...that is true but the rest of that diatribe about today in 2011 was pretty out there

It will be interesting to see how your visit here goes.

Cheers TS

You are absolutely correct.

Reminds me of “Compassionate Conservative”, G.W. Bush's favorite saying. It still makes me cringe simply because it implies that as Conservatives we have no compassion.

It's bad enough when the Commies accuse us of that, but when one of our own joins the Chorus we are fighting a War on two fronts.

We live in an an age where voting for Politicians who steal one person's Private Property to give to their supporters is considered mainstream, while those of us who believe in Constitutionally Limited Government are now called Radicals.

The Bizarro World...

She supports someone with experience (executive) who knows what to do and how to do it.

That would not be Herman Cain or Bachmann. That would be Grinrich, Romney or Perry. It could be Romney. She supported McCain twice...the second time after he stabbed her in the back the first time.

Palin said her endorsement would amount to a "hill of a beans."

No more or less than that of anybody else.

She should go make Todd a sandwich or something.

basically I have come to the conclusion this forum is a place for some to let themselves be the true jerks they can't be to the wife, kids, fellow workers and mother in laws...it's like therapy or something

I think the composition of FR has changed in recent years, for some reason. People don't seem to come here for rational discussion anymore, but just to spew and vent.

I can't imagine what the Dems doing opposition research must think. They must be high-fiving each other every time they read one of our small-minded, hysterical, invective-laden threads.

It's sad that FR has come to this, since it's the only forum of its type and it has done a hugely valuable service for years. I also suspect that it is losing readership, and I know a couple of younger former Freepers who have simply quit reading it because every issue was immediately dragged off by the ranting and raving crowd, and people who used to post the former interesting analysis and shared information no longer even bother. This is especially true in threads about domestic issues, and as for the GOP campaign...everything you said is true.
