RON PAUL Changes the Republican Party, or Not?
Graewoulf | January 10, 2012 | Graewoulf

Rep. Dr. Ron Paul is the only Candidate now running who:

1.) Has a comprehensive platform that will cut BASELINE Federal spending.

2.) Insists that all of the planks in his platform are consistent with the US Constitution.

3.) Accepts the fact that the USA can no longer financially afford to be the World’s policeman.

4.) Fully understands how to dismantle the disastrous Federal medical “entitlements” of Medicare, Medicaid, and the illegal Obama”care.”

5.) Has a comprehensive plan to abolish or dramatically shrink 5 Federal Departments, or Bureaus.

These positions set Dr. Paul apart from the rest of the Candidates who stubbornly cling to the time-honored traditions of "The Bipartisan Cave-In" by the RINO Political Party. (Democrats NEVER cave-in, but they still call it Bipartisan.)

I enjoy reading about the furor caused by Ron Paul rocking the boat. Paul offers a clear philosophical break to the leadership of the RINO Party, and thus has triggered the fear emotion of “fight or flight” among many faithful RINOs.

Four years from now, Senator Rand Paul will probably run for POTUS. Watch closely this year, and compare what you see to what Rand will be saying 4 years from now.

As usual, the “most electable” RINO will be chosen as the Party Nominee in Tampa, a failed and time-tested method of “playing not to lose,” just like the way losing teams do in football.

Nonetheless, Rep. Paul has defined a platform that the RINO Party must take some planks from to avoid going the way of the Whig Political Party.

I like your criteria for who’s a RINO and who’s not. I do.

That’s why I happily voted for both Bushes and against Regan.

Ron Paul has been a member of Congress for decades. He is a Committee Chairman. Name a single thing he has done in all those years to help reduce the size of government.

Ron Paul is part of the Washington establishment. He goes out and runs against the government he is a part of. Some people are stupid enough to believe him.

I’m NOT a Paul supporter.

I think your comment too harsh. I don’t think Paul is sending the thugs, the thugs do this on their own. This is the price Paul pays for having to pander to unsavory types because the nut cases have always been a big part of his monetary support. Like any politician, he is beholden to his supporters. That’s why he coddles rather than repudiates them.

He says he’s a conservative and in some ways he is, but most of his support comes from liberals.

Typical liberal talking points.

And to further add to your leftist identity, we see your contempt for SoCons.

Tell us. Is there ANYTHING conservative about you?

“you saw his goons, aligned with the Occupy anarchists, converge on Newt's campaign headquarters and attempt to take over a Santorum press conference.”

Do you notice how Ron Paul is spending millions of dollars to attack Newt and Santorum? And he sends his goons to threaten them and disrupt their events.

Do you notice how Ron Paul NEVER attacks Obama or Romney?

Do you notice how Ron Paul is working closely with the Soros funded group C.R.E.W. to spread lies about Santorum?

Ron Paul is an Obama/Soros operative working to ensure Romney's nomination and Obama’s reelection. He is also working to discredit conservatives.

Ron Paul is a Soros/

BS. He calls Santorum "corrupt" to his face. He brushes off the fact he supports the lie that Bush knew about 9/11 and was "gleeful" it happened so he could invade Iraq. He knows what his people are doing and he knows the Occupy thugs are attacking the other candidates on his behalf while he grins that stupid grin.

Its not "pandering" when he's silent as his lunatic supporters scream "REVOLUTION!" and "Ron Paul doesn't hate gays!" at Santorum events. He's evil. And dangerous.

Just like 2008 Ron Paul's 15 minutes are just about up. Too bad his supporters are too stupid to recognize that fact.

“I don’t think Paul is sending the thugs, the thugs do this on their own”

It doesn't matter whether Paul specifically orders it or his operatives order it. Ron Paul is an Obama/Soros stooge. He never attacks Obama or Romney. He only attacks conservatives(Santorum and Newt).

Agreed. And his goons are strangely silent at Huntsman events too.

Lol. How much time did you spend checking out my posts just to find that one that doesn't even come close to proving your point?

Since you are so fixated on that post. Prove it wrong.

I don't believe in stealing from one to give to another. I also don't believe in controlling another person's life and dictating my morals on them. I have plenty going on in my life to worry about.

Ron Paul does not have a prayer of beating Obama.

No 76 year-old has a prayer of being elected President. The electorate will not seriously consider a man who would turn 80 in his first term.

The prevailing view on Paul, right or wrong, is that he is an old loon who runs for President and makes a fool of himself. That perception is not changing, it is growing as Paul gets more attention.

Pauls last campaign ends soon, unless he runs as a third party candidate, and I pray that he does. He will pull more votes from Obama than the Republican nominee.

“lot of emotion against Ron Paul by everybody else.”

The opposition to Ron Paul is not emotion. No honest, intelligent person can support Ron Paul.

Ron Paul's supporter ignore everything about him and for the most part are ignorant of his actual record. Or else they are Obama operatives like the Occupy thugs who threaten Newt and Santorum.

Ron Paul supports Iran which is supplying IED’s that maim and kill American servicemen. He supports Iran which is building nuclear weapons that it brags it will use against the U.S. and Israel.

He is working with the Soros funded group C.R.E.W. to spread lies about Rick Santorum.

I am tired of the Ron Paul useful idiots incorrectly calling him a constitutionalist or a fiscal conservative.

Ron Paul is a liar and he is working to ensure Obama’s reelection.

Paul has zero, nada, zip, not a chance in hell to beat BHO.
Romney has a better chance to beat BHO, however he wont.
Your premise is faulty, a bogus choice.

“You think Jefferson, the man who went after the Barbary Pirates would brown nose Iran ala Ron Paul style?”

Remember as well that Jefferson authorized the overthrow of the Tripoli government - a first in our history - but later withdrew support with a possible wink, wink, nod, nod since the plan did continue. How very neocon of him, eh?

Note also that Washington greatly tangled the United States in foreign affiars, despite his often quoted writings. He issues letters of marque against British ships on behalf of France and supported the Jay Treaty that normalized relations with Britian and lead to an undeclared navel war with France.

The point is that one must look at the actions of these people as well as their writings and political philosophies. Paul and his supporters (and not a few other conservitives) like to quote the writings of the founding fathers, but then ignore their actions.
