Romney over Obama in New York Times poll
The Examiner ^ | July 21, 2012 | Dwight L. Schwab, Jr.

Posted on 07/21/2012 9:16:32 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

When the New York Times produce a poll showing a Republican in the lead, that in itself is news. That's exactly what the legendary liberal flagship of the Democratic Party printed this week.

Economic concerns are clearly the foremost issue on voters minds.

The new poll shows Romney clearly in front for the first time since becoming the presumptive Republican nominee. Even after months of negative advertising and attacks on his position at Bain Capital, Romney is clearly in the lead over incumbent Barack Obama.

The New York Times/CBS News Poll provided opinions on President Obama's handling of the economy and the dramatic shift that has taken place since April. Thirty-nine percent approve while 55 percent expressed disapproval. Back in April the numbers were far closer with 44 percent approval to 48 percent negative.

So what does that mean?

The Republicans were well aware that Romney would face ferocious criticism from the press (New York Times, Washington Post, etc.) and Democrats over his highly successful tenure at Bain Capital and his tax returns. Those anxieties have proven to be marginal among registered voters as 45 percent expressed they would vote for Romney today over the 43 percent that would favor Obama.

With undecideds thrown into the mix, Romney wins 47 percent to 46 percent in the poll conducted between July 11 and 16, including 982 registered voters...

“I am voting for the one that isn’t Obama”

I’ll go you one better: I’m voting for the one who isn’t Obama AND who has the best chance of beating Obama. A syphilitic camel, you say? Why,yes, I would vote for a syphilitic camel if it had the best chance of beating Obama. But a syphilitic camel isn’t running, Romney is. So voting for Romney won’t be that much more difficult for me.

“I dont think this is so much a love for Romney, as it is a distaste for Obama.”

Indeed. This election is quite simple: vote to keep Obama or vote to toss out Obama. Oh, sure, some other guy is running against Obama; I think is name is Romney something. But he’s not Obama, so I’m voting for that not-Obama Romney person, since there’s no other choice that will remove Obama.

I’d suggest about a thousand signs in Tampa reading “why isn’t Sarah here”?

Get some knowledge before making suggestions! Sarah will be there, she already reserved her set up and venue months ago - five minutes from the convention center. If she chooses to speak at the convention is her decision to make.

Personally I'd let them fix their own mess with their liberal candidate, after all I'm sure they knew what they were DELIBERATELY doing when they let godless mitt have his way and ignored PATRIOT Newt./s

Reports have been that Sarah was going to be excluded (let alone the candidate apparent). Don’t get so full of yourself.

Yes it is a mass hypnosis that’s been going on since the Vietnam War and even before.

Imagine a Democrat President today saying, “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country!”

Imagine any single Democrat candidate for anything saying that.

The left has been working on the lazy, the gullible and the bitter for decades now...Barack Obama is the fruit of those labors.

Romney is going to win, and win big.

I am not saying be complacent, fight like its a 50-50 split, but every, and I do mean EVERY poll has been saying the same thing since January.

The electorate has made up its mind about Obama, and will be throwing him out on his arse by a large margin.

Obama has no plan, or chance at re-election. His only path was to hope that republicans would put up someone he could paint as scarier than 4 more years of him, and that didn’t happen.

Obama’s game plan for re-election is a failed one and has been from day one, he can’t run on his record because its one of failure, so he is attempting to paint his opponent as unacceptable. The problem, for him is 2 fold.

1, and this one is a doozy, VOTERS DON’T CARE! They just don’t care about Bane, about outsourcing, about this or that, they JUST DON’T CARE! Don’e believe me, go look at the polls over the last 1-2 months since Obama launched on this attack strategy... its had ZERO positive impact for him in the polls! He spends $100 Million in attack adds in swing states and his poll numbers don’t move an inch up, in fact they fall down.

#2, and this is doozy as well, while attempting to wage these attacks he does so, revealing the true communist leanings that he ideologically holds, making the electorate even motivated to send him out and NOT care what attack he comes up with on Romney.

Obama is viewed as extreme by a roughly 2-1 margin by the electorate, and every time he attempts to attack Romney on economic issues or other issues, he raises that ratio.

Obama is toast, he’s losing swing states by 10+ points, the only way they keep these polls balanced, is by going national, and oversampling dems. We all know he’s going to win liberal bastions like New York and Cali.. but it doesn’t matter. He can get 100% of the New York Vote, and it won’t matter, because NY can only cast so many EC votes.. The uber liberal bastions will vote for this guy, though not in the numbers of 2008, but the more moderate states, forgiddaboutit.

He’s lost the blue collar (blue dog) democrat voter, not that he had them in spades last time around, but he has completely lost them this time, he’s losing women, he’s got lower support in EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY than last time, and its just going to get worse between now and election day for him. The more desperate he becomes the pettier he acts, the pettier he acts, the lower he’ll poll, the lower he polls the more desperate he’ll act. Obama is in a political death spiral, in a little over 3 months folks go to the polls, and they aren’t going to give this fool another 4 years.

By October, the serious political discussion will be about will the Republicans gain 60 seats, the very idea that this nimrod can win a second term will be abandoned by all but the most die hard liberal talking head.

If anyone thinks blacks and hippies will show up in the numbers they did in 2008, I have a bridge to sell them. Any twenty-something who votes for the Democrats this time around needs a 72 hour hold in a rubber room.

Exactly.. Young kids are facing 50% unemployment out of college.

Obama is the ONLY president in the modern age who’s term will end with FEWER AMERICANS WORKING THAN THE DAY HE TOOK OFFICE!! PERIOD!!!!

Not fewer percentage, but FEWER ACTUAL FOLKS EMPLOYED!!!!

Black unemployment is 15%!! 15%! youth unemployment is 50%!

Real overall unemployment is in the teens..

This guys only shot at re-election is to paint his opponent as too radical. Problem is Romney is many things, but RADICAL?? Hardly, especially to swing voters!

Folks 20% of Democrats are OPENLY ADMITTING TO POLLSTERS TODAY THEY PLAN TO VOTE FOR ROMNEY!!! 20%!!!! that’s 1 in 5 registered democrats polled! Do you HONESTLY think that this is going to be a close election????

The electorate breaks down as roughly 30% dem, 30% rep and 40% independent.

That means of that 30% that is democratic, a whopping 20% of them (or roughly 6% of the overall electorate) is OPENLY stating they will not vote for the democratic candidate.

SO, that means to win, OBAMA doesn’t just need 20% +1 voters above and beyond the democratic base, he needs to get 26% + 1 voters to win re-election.

Where do you think that 26% is going to come from? Do you really think Obama can win the swing vote by nearly a 2-1 margin? 26-14??? Hell No! In fact, the swing voters will be going somewhere in the 3-2 or 2-1 for ROMNEY on election day! Do you really think massive numbers of republicans are going to vote for Obama?? Don’t bet on it.

Obama is DOWN in every demographic, every single one from 2008, and yes, he won by a large margin, but remember, a 1% swing of voters = a 2% swing in the vote total... IE a 46 to 54 vote is a 47 to 53 vote with just 1% changing vote. it goes from an 8 point margin, to a 6 point margin with just 1% of the vote moving.

So knowing 6% of the electorate is already OPENLY ADMITTING they won’t vote for OBAMA in 2012, even though the overwhelming majority of that group voted for him in 2008, do you honestly think he’s got any sort of chance?

Now admittedly its WHERE those 6% swing that is important, if they were only voters in states Obama lost in 08, wouldn’t matter, but they aren’t, his support is down everywhere. I have no doubt that in states he lost in 08 probably represent more of that 6% that states he won, I don’t believe for one minute its the only place its happening.

Even if 4% of that overall 6% are in states Obama lost in ‘08, 2% swing is big in other states, and when you add in the swing voter movement, he’s a lost cause, etc etc etc.

I know the polls even respected polls are showing this race relatively tight, but don’t get worked up... one constant in this race is, OBAMA can’t poll over mid 40s... in fact on election day his overall popular vote won’t be over 42-43% and very likely will be lower IMHO.

Fight hard, don’t let up, but don’t buy into the idea that Obama is inevitable, he’s not, he’s toast.

There are pros and cons to that report or any from the news.

It could give one side an air of we got it in the bag and meant to deliver that message from the other side.

Or show the misfits, we need more voter fraud.

I just don’t value them as deception is rampant.

However, it’s not surprising - look where we are and what he has done but I also know what they are capable of as evil knows no bounds.

but every, and I do mean EVERY poll has been saying the same thing since January.

I missed that part. Not surprising - voters hadn't voted yet but they were sure Romney was going to win. How's that for thinking anyone but the GOP had a chance. Just wondered if they figured in those who have no plans on voting for the LIAR. Or if a 3rd candidate popped up because they know the tactics pulled by the GOP. Yet, every poll since January is that sure. We will see.

Every poll this year has shown and told the same story, that being, Obama has no way of getting over low 40s of the vote. Could the events surrounding the electing have shifted to a way that 42-43% could get a win for him, sure.. but the evidence has been there all along.

The electorate has written this guy off, and cannot wait to vote him out of office. Sadly, too many folks in DC and in the political parties are so caught up in what happens and is said inside the beltway they have no clue what’s actually going on on the ground.

The very idea that Obama was inevitable was part of the reason why (but hardly the sole reason why) we wound up with such an poor field this year and have Romney, for good or ill as a candidate.

The electorate by and large doesn’t care who ran against Obama, they have made up their minds, short of an axe murderer or child rapist, they have stated this entire year, they aren’t going to give Obama a second term.

Those who plan protest votes over Romney, and there will be a few, as much as they think they are doing good, are statistically irrelevant. You think there won’t be protest votes on the other side who won’t vote for Obama, and won’t vote for Romney? Sure there will.. every election has protest and 3rd party votes... the idea that this election they are going to be statistically larger than previous elections is frankly wishful thinking by those who plan to engage in it.

I know, you’ll show me I’m wrong on election day.. but election day will come and go and the non republican non democrat 3rd party guys will wind up with their usual trivial numbers.

In my lifetime there have been only 3 elections where any third party candidate drew anything noteworthy... Perot with his 8% and then 18% in 92 and 96.... I bet you can’t even name the other one.

You have to go back before my birth to find a 3rd party candidate that actually carried a state on election day... only 2-3 times of so in the last 100 years has that happened.

Given the divisiveness of the last 4 years, and the all or nothing mentality of some folks on the right, the fact they haven’t remotely got a 3rd candidate on the ballot shows you just how silly this “We’ll show them” is. Will some people protest vote? Sure, always are some, but is it going to have any statistical impact on the election? Nope.

Election day will come and go, and no third party candidate will get enough of the vote to even merit mention, in fact combined, all them won’t account for 2% of the overall vote.

It’s not about the economy, it’s spiritual. The choice
is between two men who legislated abortion and laws that are pro-sodomy. Neither one, BHO or Mitt Romney are Christian.

Pray for a “miracle.”

July 18, 2012

message to Father Melvin Doucette

“I call you all to be loyal to Me especially you My brother Melvin and all My brothers and sisters living in every part of the world. When I was on earth I was loyal to My Heavenly Father every day of My life on earth. I came to do His will. You too should have the same reason wanting to follow My will every day.

There are some people these days that are teaching falsehood but saying that it comes from Me. Only My church can teach the true Gospel, which I brought into the world. There will only be the one Gospel and this is what you are to follow with all your heart. St. Paul in his earlier days was a persecutor of My Church. He wanted to destroy the Church I had founded on the Apostles. At the end I woke him up and he was converted.

He came to believe in Me and he followed the true Gospel all the years after that until his death as a martyr in Rome. Do not listen to such people as those who belong to NEW AGE or THE CHURCH OF THE LATTER DAY SAINTS. THERE IS NO TRUTH IN WHAT THEY TEACH. Follow Me in My Church and you will be blessed. I am your Brother who is calling you and who is ready to help you in this life and bring you home to heaven one day.”
