Tea Partied Out?
The Daily Beast's David Frum Blog ^ | April 29, 2013 | Justin Green

Can the Tea Party and establishment, moderate-minded conservatives ever reconcile? At The American Prospect, Abby Rapoport cites a new study as evidence it won't happen.

[T]he gap between the two groups is huge. In the YouGov survey the study uses, more than two-thirds of Tea Partiers put themselves in the two most conservative categories on economic policy, social policy, and overall policy. Only 23 percent of non-Tea Partiers place themselves in the most conservative categories on all three issues; nearly 40 percent don’t locate themselves in the most conservative categories for any of the three policy areas.

Most jarring: On some issues, like abolishing the Department of Education and environmental regulation, the establishment Republicans are actually closer to Democrats than they are to the Tea Party respondents...

Jarring to who? Notice they felt they had to use a photo of Gov. Sarah Palin even though she's never mentioned.

Wishful thinking.

Many Tea Partiers had joined the Birther movement (and rightully so) and they no longer feel it's necessary to protest the agenda and policies of a pResident who has yet to prove his eligibility to even be making policy and the other two branches that just look on.

Solve this issue and the Tea Party Rallies will resume.

Even though I am now an expat, I have identified with the Tea Party from day one.
The ONLY reason that I would have considered a trip back to the US would be to have been with them on the Washington Mall.

I wouldn’t mind being in Cebu myself. You made a great decision at the right time.

>> establishment, moderate-minded conservative

Say what? WTH is that? Makes about as much sense as “aquatic mountain-valley”.

NO. We have nothing in common with liberal/Socialism/Marxism/Statism in any fashion. Light has no part with darkness.

"Moderates" and GOP-e Party Hacks belong in the Democrat party where they have more in common and most often corroborate with anyway.

Moderates and GOP RINO party hacks attack Conservatives more viciously than even the radical Leftists do. 'Moderates" are the infiltration units the Left uses to tear Conservatism apart from the inside.

Well, I would not want to be IN Cebu city, but I enjoy life ON Cebu in Dalaguete (www.dalaguete.gov.ph), the vegetable
capital of Cebu.

Cebu is also listed by Travel and Leisure magazine as the third best island in Asia.

Yes, I’ve seen positive articles often on
http://www.globaltravelerreport.com

It’s sounds beautiful. Actually have friends there on Facebook.

Also, have you ever heard of the restaurant in Quezon province which is known as a restaurant in a waterfall?

I think it’s part of Villa Escudero resort.

What would David Frum know about the Tea Party movement or conservatives for that matter? Having said that he performs his real job as a divider quite well. Bronco Bama would be proud.

WTF is a "moderate-minded conservative"? There's no such thing. That's like saying you like cold-warm water. "Conservative" and "Moderate" are philosophies...you can't be both. "Moderate Pubbies" is more like it.

I have never set foot on Luzon and do not know that restaurant in Quezon.
There are countless resorts and restaurants on most every inhabited island...By the way, the Philippines has 7,107 islands.
Last week, we were at Kawasan falls, just on the other side of Cebu...http://www.kawasanfalls.net/photos/
We had lunch right beside the falls. Some of my group took the raft that goes in behind the falls and then comes through them.

If you look on the Dalaguet web site, there is a Facebook
section that shows the Facebook links to many of the residents. The first and third links on the top line are my wife’s Facebook pages.
The first pic is my son. The links are Guia Entia Wilson and the third is Hearty Salvador.

But don’t you have to travel to Cebu City once a year to get your bicycle registration?

Bicycle registration? hahaha...There is no such thing.
Unfortunately, I have been going more then I like, in order to get my 13a (married) visa.
It has been a nightmare, as they added new rules on Jan. 1st and it required more documentation.
I will go tomorrow to pick it up and get the stamp in my passport.

Anyway, we still go for specialty shopping...maybe 4 times per year.

Not unless they become conservatives. I at least can thank them for showing the country why party affiliation does not work. I will support consevatives no matter what their party affiliation. This is why I no longer fund the GOP party establishment, instead I fund individual conservatives.

F-off Rove and your BS fundrasing fraud.

There is no such creature as a moderate-minded conservative. You are either a moderate squish or a conservative warrior.
