It’s very simple Monsieur Rick, the Tea Party is for everything the other side is against!

Republicans are for Democrats. Why is this even being asked? It’s like asking why is water wet?

It just ‘is’.

Not only were there a dozen substitute health insurance reform bills offered by various Republicans, there was the only real attempt at bipartisan reform in the Wyden-Bennett Act. [...] Some, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), worry that proposing a set of detailed policy alternatives is taking an unnecessary risk when so much else is going the right way for Republicans. [...] Behind Reagan’s revolution and Gingrich’s Contract with America there were solid, if not spectacular, ideas.

If McConnell's afraid of it, it's probably a good idea. If conservatives want to repeat Reagan's and the Contract with America's successes at the voting booth, they need to follow those examples - and, as the health care example shows, focus relentlessly on their proposals as the only hope of overcoming the MSM's portrayal as pure obstructionists.

it’s simple.

small govt staying out of people’s lives
responsible fiscal policies
proper immigration (and eviction of illegals)
personal responsibility
strong dollar
and a strong defense

i would add:
state oriented power
evenly applied taxes (percentage)
taxes owed by the state, leaving the state to figure out their tax system
strong family
proper education whose standards are set by the community/state

anything else is a nice-to-have

I’m not sure they even know what they’re against.

That would be because the only thing Ubama wants to do is take things from people who would never vote for him and give them to people who will vote for him.
