Gloves Are Off w/ Rand Paul and His “Immigration Reform” Freak Fest. Where're This Man’s Priorities?
A Time For Choosing ^ | June 14, 2014 | Isabel Matos

“Rand Paul Talks About Amnesty With GOP Infiltrator Norquist While Sarah Palin Calls for Humanitarian Action for ‘Man-caused Illegal Immigration Disaster”. That could have been the title but it really is the story of the week – that is if you are enjoy seeing dirty politicking and corruption by weak-knee’d phonies like Rand Paul exposed. We have been telling you so! That picture above is a scene from the Rio Grande yesterday. Watch how Rand Paul has dealt with this critical issue.

After all is said and done more is said than done. Rand Paul is no exception. It was just a matter of time before we would see Rand and Grover get together over amnesty. Sorry. “I.m.m.i.g.r.a.t.i.o.n. Reform”. After all, Rand Paul has been playing with this fire for a while. His comments come out of a meeting held this past Wednesday following the Virginia primary. The conference call included Michael Bloomberg’s “Partnership for a New American Economy”. (Bloomberg sent $250,000 to a Thad Cochran SuperPac in addition to the Chamber of Commerce which supports only candidates who agree to amnesty or “immigration reform”. It is buying $300,000 in ads to help Cochran beat Chris McDaniel who endorsed a Grover-style NO amnesty pledge in the June 24th runoff. That’s a needless circus brought to you courtesy of the GOPe who met as well with NRSC in DC to help out Cochran (he’s a freak show unto himself) -before Cantor lost.

The call was scheduled before Eric Cantor’s defeat on Tuesday which caught everyone off guard. Brat campaigned on free markets and constitutional principles but used Cantor’s immigration issue to drive his message home. It was done effectively; however, Paul and Norquist did not attribute Brat’s victory to being a referendum on amnesty. Instead they agreed Lindsey Graham had won in South Carolina on the same night running on comprehensive immigration reform.

Immigration may not have been “the paramount issue” in Eric Cantor’s crushing primary loss.

“It’s a mistake to try to paint it and decide that one issue decided this,” he said.

Yeah yeah yeah.. He added that the GOPe is bound by the word amnesty:

“We’ve been somewhat trapped by rhetoric and words, and amnesty’s a word that has kind of trapped us,” he said, adding that some people think it means giving undocumented immigrants a right to vote, while others say it means allowing them to obtain legal status without a penalty.

Others, he added, think it simply means not deporting those who came to the United States illegally.

“We’re trapped in a word that means different things to different people.”

Really? The only thing trapping Rand Paul is his answering to the likes of the Chamber of Commerce, Mitch McConnell and Grover Norquist. Rand Paul is hung up on language because he want to get it right. The money so he can run. It doesn’t matter what he means. That’s why he’s like a crazed man talking…

He voted against S.744 Immigration Bill but he says he has always been for immigration reform. I say he did it because Marco Rubio got grilled by Sarah Palin and his rivalry with Rubio is big enough for him to care; otherwise, he would have. He said his amendment included beefed up border security but was rejected.

“I’ve always said that I’m for it. I just want to be part of the process. I don’t feel like anybody really wanted my vote because they never considered any of my suggestions.”

“If you want immigration reform, there has to be openness to compromise,” he said, adding that there’s also a group “entrenched” on the other side who won’t vote for any reform measures.

(I’d like to ask Senator Paul if he is referring to us as the “other side”. It’s almost like “extreme nativist” Cantoresque-style speak. Just wondering.. Anyway..)

He also commented on the recent influx of young people from Central America who U.S. law prohibits from deporting back to their countries.

He speculated that some immigrants are coming to join the military.

“This is a complicated part of immigration reform. Do I have sympathy if you served in our military and we ought to find a place for you in our country? Absolutely,” he said. “But do I want to send a signal to everybody in Mexico that if you come and join our military, you get to be a citizen? That’s a bad signal.”

“None of this is really easy,” he added.

Contrast those thoughts to Sarah Palin’s righteous FURY and admonishment of Republicans and Democrats who have talked a good talk but all but turned their backs on a real humanitarian crisis at the Border in Texas has met silence. There seems to be ZERO moral outrage over it on the part of Rand Paul, a typical Rino!

Considering Rand Paul is running for president (obsessively so to the point he does not make sense and he can’t shut up), he would be unfit to lead. He does not have the instincts to deal with a crisis. Like other Republican Senators, he has exploited “reform” to score political points but done nothing to help the situation NOW. Sarah’s rightfully sickened by it. He’s the perfect example (I’m not reading her mind, this is my opinion) of what Sarah Palin was railing against yesterday.

Rand Paul is small and timid. His response is as ridiculous and as out of touch as Thad Cochran who said he did not know what happened on Tuesday when asked. It’s as if none of this was even happening to Paul. He is so fixated on his verbiage and positions taken, that he has all but forgotten to connect at all.

It’s hard to keep up with all the neck breaking flip flops Paul has made. Before the Virginia Primary he had said that any candidate endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce was not presidential material. Excuse my “French-American”, WTF? He said:

Chamber of Commerce is fine, I was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, but a Chamber of Commerce Republican is not going to win a national election,” Paul said on Saturday,

What more does one need to see he is and always has been a phony. Most of you see it. Please share the news with others. Start posting these articles on your Timelines and get others involved in the discussion. We are being subjected to one crippling crisis after another because of sellouts like him. It’s time to open up and push the political conversation more. Let’s list his maniacal doublespeak.

1.He has ties to creepy Norquist. 2.He endorsed corrupt Mitch McConnell. 3.He is staying out of the race in Mississippi. 4.He is for “immigration reform” but against “amnesty” and complains that journalists are misrepresenting his positions like this one: His comments in support of amnesty were made at the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics, to David Axelrod, former top advisor to Obama, now the Institute’s director. One writer just put it this way: It’s so complicated what is amnesty anyway? Just break free of the A-word and embrace more meaningful and descriptive terminology like “Comprehensive immigration reform” or “Man-caused illegal immigration disasters. 5.He is for outreach to Hispanics; however he offended Hispanics with his pandering by calling work visas for illegals. 6.He was well received at the liberal University of California, Berkeley. 7.He has been saying the GOPe needs to evolve and adapt (into what I always asked) 8.He said “We’re going to be one big happy family” before the Texas Primary. He said he would not get involved in incumbent races and did so with Ted Cruz who he compromised by promising the same. Cornyn won and so did McConnell. What kind of outsider is Rand Paul? 9.He made a cameo in Lamar Alexander’s campaign ad. * Below 10.He has extended invitations to Chris Christie for a beer and has defended Jeb Bush’s “act of love”. 11.He dismissed Mitch McConnell’s vow to crush the tea party by saying it was just “things politicians say they don’t really mean“. 12.He is apparently going to help out Susan Collins in her campaign. 13.He is reaching out to black voters based on previous issues in his own staff was let go for comments made that were racially questionable. He got testy in this interview when the matter was brought up. Please don’t miss it! 14.He appeared at the TEXAS convention but is not from Texas. He was there to promote himself, that’s all. Grover Norquist re-tweeted it on June 6th. 15.His message has not been conservative. How does that help recruit more conservatives? He sells out to reach out. 16.He has met with George P. Bush and has ties to Karl Rove who he has received support from. 17.His campaign has ties to American Crossroads and Americans for Tax Reform. 18.His ties with McConnell’s campaign manager, Jesse Benton, who is under FBI investigation, has been tapped for Rand’s 2016 presidential run . 19.He is against Voter ID. 20.He got an earful on May 20th for cheering on McConnell. 21.He may have been the reason why Amy Kremer left the Tea Party Express. I wrote about that. 22.His collaboration with Mitch McConnell had been long standing even though even though he used the Tea Party Express to hide it as Sal Russo’s family is involved in his RandPAC. 23.You can press any one of these links: TPX, Rand Paul’s Ties, Florida to see how he helped corrupt the process by inserting himself in races we lost. 24.He is Karl Rove’s wish come true. Last year Rove was quoted saying “We need fewer Christine O’Donnell’s and more Rand Pauls. Don’t fret or worry. Paul is a walking-talking train wreck. He is unraveling before our eyes. Just like Rubio met his fate after pushing for Immigration Reform in 2013, this year is Rand Paul’s turn. 25.Today Rand Paul said:

Republicans need to nominate a different kind of candidate to win the presidency.

“You guys have a strong force here but frankly the president won Iowa twice so we can’t do the same old same old,” the Kentucky senator told the Iowa Republican state convention here. “The definition of insanity is thinking the same thing will get you different results.”

Well.. Insanity can go both ways. He is unable to be decisive on anything he says. Is he just being a Libertarian? a Loon? or a bad Liar? A train wreck no matter what. The socks below are a great symbol of his disregard for REALITY where immigration is concerned. They reflect clownishness. This is where Rand Paul’s mind seems to be while Rome is burning as they say.. not the kind of guy we want to run the country in time of crisis (or who helped cause the crisis we are in):

I think FR will go all in for Ted Cruz.

I'm ready for Cruz Control but I still think Sarah Palin will be sworn in as President come January 2017. The Lord has big things planned for Governor Palin and she has the will and, as a committed Christian, the wherewithal to lead America back to its Biblical foundation.

Go Sarah go! Go Ted go! Go Jim go! Rebellion is brewing!

Obama seeems to of made up his mind not to enforce a lot of our immigration laws and Obama really does not care if congress agree’s or disagree’s..In the end he act’s like it’s only he who can resolve the problems..and the other who disagree are in his way.. He ignores them and carries out what he wants to do..Many in congress are do nothing congress and Prez takes full advantage of this.

Rand Paul is at heart a libertarian, so that means open borders and unrestricted abortion.

Many libertarians are anti-abortion, even non-religious libertarians, based on their principles, especially the "non-initiation of force".

Most libertarians do favor more immigration, from what I've seen. The Libertarian Party favors increased legal immigration.

We do know who the potential candidates are, you can look at some of the professional political analysts like Charlie Cook or Larry Sababto or Nate Silver to see who's in the game.

The election starts in earnest in a few months, right after the November election.

I understand the desire of Freepers to have a real conservative represent the party in 2016, so it's quite reasonable to talk about who that might be.

I stand by my comment that the Forum has a terrible track record in supporting candidates who actually win in the nomination. Perahps we'll do better this time, but I worry once again we'll go for some quirky candidate who says the right things but is completely implausible as POTUS. (Alan Keynes, talk show host). Plausible candidates are current or former Senators, Governors, Vice Presidents and perhaps high ranking Generals. That's who American's elect as President. Americans do not view the Presidency as an entry level job. Pat Buchanan, Ralph Nader, Hermain Cain, Donald Trump, Steve Forbes etc. And House candidates really never win the nomination, much less the Presidency. Are we prepared to be somewhat realistic?

Here is how Cook closes he analysis on the GOP Bracket from April:

The accuracy rate for anyone's prognostications this far out is dangerously close to zero, so caveat emptor. If Bush does run, it would seem likely that the contest would be for who would be his more conservative alternative, whether that be a member of the tea party or of the more conventional but still very conservative wing of the GOP. Beyond Bush (if he runs), I am most closely watching Paul from the tea-party side and Walker from the very conservative but not tea-party wing, while keeping an eye on Rubio as a wild card. Rubio is enormously talented, seems to have a very bright future, and appears to appeal to a wide variety of generational and demographic groups. Given the GOP's problems, it desperately needs to address its weaknesses with these key portions of the electorate.

In the 538 article "Jeb Bush Has as Good a Chance as Anyone"

Harry Enton writes:

In the GOP, establishment support has usually foretold who will win the party’s nod. When a Republican candidate has won the majority of endorsements from GOP public officials, he has also won the nomination, as discussed in the book “The Party Decides.” Romney, for instance, took the most endorsements in 2012.

Conventional wisdom, but true. If we don't want Jeb it behooves us to find a viable alternative and coalesce around them early. Remember Mitt Romney won the nomination with pluralities of less than 51% in every state. That was due in part to the divided conservative vote. Gingrich, Santorum and Paul all won delegates and States.

Orange=Romney, Green=Santorum, Purple=Newt, Yellow=Paul, Black=Perry

Larry Sabato is the only major analyst to fearlessly rate them all now - here's his ranking from his site: "Sabato's Crystal Ball"

I don’t think Palin is going to run. I think she might win the nomination, but would lose the General election, but I’d still be happy with her as the candidate. Like a lot of other Freeper’s I’d like someone who at least contests the election, which to some extent neither McCain nor Romney did. Both seemed unable to formulate a coherent criticism of Obama, and especially for Romney there was a lot of material there!

Why Jack, one simply cannot criticize a black man, or even a supercilious mulatto jackass of unknown provenance like Obama. Simply not done. Could be construed as racis.

Really? I used to think that before Obama. They could elect anything as far as I can tell.

Of your top teir I would rather have Walker, but I am afraid that one of your later posts is correct. Jeb Bush.
I have noticed a bunch of TV progarms about Bush 41 all highly complimentary of 41.

I take that as a first step in “rehabilitating” the Bush name. Sure looks like the GOPe is gearing up for another Bushie. I don’t think he can beat Hillary even with all her albatrosses.

If the conservatives can get together behind one candidate, early, they could win. Somehow that mostly never happens.

Anyway, the jist of your thinking seems to be the FR doesn’t amount to anything, yet here you are, more useless than most.

Jack, nice job on the chart!

However, apparently you did not get the memo. The 2016 Democratic Ticket is:

For President:
Joe (Plugsy) Biden
For Vice President:
Michelle Robinson Obama

By 2016 Michelle will be a Senator(trix?) from some state or other with a large "urban" population. If the fraud machine works and this outstanding ticket wins, the plan is for Plugsy to succumb to infected hair transplant grafts right after Inauguration, leaving Michelle (Divorced from Barry and seen on Okra Wimpfree every day)as our POTUS.

"The Republican ticket," you ask? Well, I see Bob Dole getting his turn ... again, with Juan Carlos Anybody as Vice Presidential candidate. Karl Rove will have a $2 Billion budget and unerringly guide the ticket to a 55-45% loss, with an 28% turnout, except in Baltimore and Philadelphia (100%+). They will carry every one of the 57 states' electoral votes.

Jeb Bush will run as The Bull Moose Candidate, carrying two Indian Reservations in North Dakota. Sarah Palin will be opening the borders of the Alaska Republic to English-Speaking Caucasian refugees.

So forget your analytics, OK? Water over the dam. The Bilderbergers have decided. I saw the memo when I was emptying the trash at Rosicrucian HQ.

Paul’s rhetoric about making sure the border is secured first is meaningless. We’ve been waiting for that border to be secured for almost 30 years when Reagan made one of the worst mistakes of his presidency by passing amnesty in the mid-80s.

There is no reason to think Obama will enforce ANY law he does not wish to enforce. If the rule of law had any meaning, Obama and his administration would be in prison now. So, even if someone was inclined to think that amnesty coupled with border security is a reasonable deal (I do not think it is reasonable), they should at least demand to see the border enforced for 5 years (or even 30 years, which is how long we’ve been waiting for promise made in the 80s) to see if these treacherous liars are even going to pretend to fulfill their end of the deal before anyone is granted amnesty.

I ask Rand Paul and all the others promising enforcement: Why haven’t you ensured enforcement of the present law? Why have you turned your back on your duty to protect the Constitution by failing to remove this current administration for their numerous abuses?
