Former GOP New Jersey Gov. Christie Whitman says if Donald Trump is the party's presidential nominee, she'll vote for Democratic contender Hillary Clinton, the Star Ledger reports.
The two-term Whitman, a longtime moderate Republican, announced Friday she was backing longshot presidential candidate Ohio Gov. John Kasich, the newspaper reports.
But she tells columnist Tom Moran she'd jump the party ship if Trump winds up as the Republican nominee -- and claims she won't be alone....

I think what Whitman meant was "No matter who the GOP nominates, I'm voting for Clinton."
It's trivial to identify other Republicans who will vote for the DEM (or 3rd party alternative) if Trump takes the nomination - Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe, Chuck Hagel, Ted Cruz ...

This is EXACTLY why we support Trump. People like her HAVE NO PLACE in our party. She was a DISASTER when she worked for Bush and hasn’t changed since.

“’moderate Republican’ = Democrat”
Not always - she just never made it to even the level of ‘moderate’. She was Lincoln Chaffee in drag.

So Trump has to sign loyalty pledge, but Republicans have no such loyalty. Something wrong here.

This woman is a real piece of shiite. When she ran for Gov. of New Jersey she was losing by a few points just before Election Day. Then she PROMISED conservative activists she would be pro-life and won by a small margin. The next year she vetoed an anti partial birth abortion.

Former NJ Gov. Whitman: If Trump Is Nominee, I'm Voting ClintonThanks, but Christie Todd Whitman is a member of a class of "Republicans" that I knew were voting for Hillary (if she's not in jail first) six months ago.
Keep the list. It may come in handy.

Bill Crystal today and he said he would have doubts about voting for Trump- these are supposed stalwarts of the Republican Party? Add him to the list, if he wasn't already on it (If William Kristol didn't head your list already, your list sucks).

Dude! You’ve not been paying attention.
China hates Trump. China therefore endorses Trump!
Al SHARPTON says he’s gonna bug out of Dodge, if Trump is elected. Al SHARPTON endorses Trump.
See how this works.
To: Defiant
Even if you dont believe Trump that he has changed his views, he is still more conservative than Mitt Romney or John McCain, and the establishment had no trouble voting for those dimwits. It is clear that there is one requirement to be part of the establishment and it is not any ideological position. It is total allegiance to the establishment and its priorities. Those may change, but the blind obedience may not. You have eloquently defined the Uniparty. They are loyal to the interests of the expanding Oligarchy, and nothing else.
Say what you want about Trump's conservative purity, I believe that he believes in his own slogan, that he wants to "Make America Great Again" -- that he wants America to be a good place for his grandchildren to grow up in.

Whitman?
as if she wasn't already planning to vote for Hillary.
In the real world (whether she admits it to herself or not) everyone I know think very little of her.
And although I was never able to find out anything else about this specific incident in NJ, I'd still like to know why the truck driver drove his truck into the capital while she and everyone else was there in a late session.
