2016 Presidential Polling Scandal

REUTERS CHANGES ITS POLL AFTER DONALD TRUMP ERASES HILLARY CLINTON’S HUGE

Two weeks ago, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was leading GOP nominee Donald Trump by a whopping 13 percent, according to Reuters/ Ipsos’ polling.

Clinton’s 46-33 percent margin in this survey was due to the fact that “Americans have become increasingly positive about Clinton this month.”

Really? How quickly things can change.

This week, Reuters/ Ipsos’ polling shows Trump leading Clinton by a 39-37 margin – a huge swing.

Clearly this cannot stand.

The government-media-corporate-Hollywood elite have already decreed that Clinton will win the presidency … and lots of money has been spent to assure that happens.

Accordingly, in the aftermath of Trump’s recent surge Reuters/ Ipsos is “amending the wording” of its polling – removing the word “neither” so that respondents feel more obligated to make a choice between the two major party candidates.

Reuters isn’t even hiding its motivation …

… the inclusion of the word ‘Neither’ is capturing Soft Trump supporters who, if given such an option, prefer not to make a choice. Here it is important to note that the soft supporter phenomenon also affects Clinton, but to a much lesser degree.

Sheesh …

Let’s not forget: Ipsos was one of the firms that woefully misjudged the recent “Brexit” vote. On the day before Great Britain voted to leave the European Union (EU) – by a 52-48 percent margin – Ipsos/ MORI had the vote going 54-46.

The other way.

So … not only did they get the outcome wrong, their poll was off by eight points.

Bottom line: It’s clear that both Clinton and Trump are wildly unpopular with broad swaths of the electorate. It’s also clear that third party candidates like Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein are poised to peel off as much as 12-15 percent of the vote come November.

Finally, it’s clear that polling this cycle has been all over the map … and will continue to be moving forward.

Still, the timing of this “amended wording” by Reuters/ Ipsos is extremely curious.

As I posted on your previous thread, pollS are methods of manipulating public opinion. We reject bogus “climate science” yet accept poll results as gospel. Who can say anyone was even polled? For all we know, there could be nothing behind these “poll results”, they could simply be making crap up to suit their agenda.

They changed the polling methodology to deliver the desired result.

No problems with that. sarcasm.

Aren’t there some polling or research companies, maybe Gallup, or others, which take this job seriously, and are professional in what they do??

Anybody can rig a poll and flood the MSM with it, and say, look, now Hillary is in the lead, and she’s got a big one now.

Holy Toledo, does anyone have any ethics or values anymore?

Uh. . .

If Trump leaning voters are more likely than Clinton leaning voters to respond “uncertain”;

And if they take the option “uncertain” off the table;

Isn’t that likely to generate a higher percentage of Trump voters than before?

And wouldn’t that produce better results for Trump than before?

Just asking. . . . .

Fiddling with the polls to favor Clinton is all about depressing enthusiasm for Trump.

Glad you posted that.

I read that sentence about 6 times and still couldn’t figure out what the hell they were talking about.

I worked with a guy that owned a phone room and was asked to do polls sometimes, he would ask “What results do you want, I will ask the questons to acheive your goal”.

And increasing complacency among Dems. Especially since many feel shafted and are only holding their nose for Clinton. I think it’s clear: Trump generates enthusiasm, Clinton douses it like the wet rag of a candidate she is.

POLL TAKER: We are taking a general election poll. Who do you support? Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump?

MR. CITIZEN: I am undecided.

POLL TAKER: We had that option before but have eliminated it.

MR. CITIZEN: I’m still undecided.

POLL TAKER: Sorry. Undecided is unacceptable. You have to make a choice… Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

MR CITIZEN: I am undecided because I don’t want to be vote shamed for my choice.

POLL TAKER: Don’t be silly. We are impartial statisticians and will record your choice without maligning you.

MR. CITIZEN: Okay. I choose Donald Trump.

POLL TAKER: RAAAACIST!!!!
