The late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) listed off the names of dictators while watching President Trump's inauguration, according to Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.).
HuffPost reported that during a campaign event in Iowa, the 2020 Democratic presidential contender told the crowd of more than 200 about sitting next to McCain and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) during Trump's inaugural address.
I sat on that stage between Bernie and John McCain, and John McCain kept reciting to me names of dictators during that speech because he knew more than any of us what we were facing as a nation, she said. He understood it. He knew because he knew this man more than any of us did.
The new story from Klobuchar adds to a list of extensive criticism from McCain, who was one of few Republican senators to regularly oppose the president.
Trump and McCain feuded on and off before the senator's death, and Trump has repeated his criticism of the late Arizona lawmaker even after his funeral.
In March, Trump ramped up his criticism of McCain, accusing him of handing a dossier of explosive claims about Trumps ties to Russia to the FBI for very evil purposes.
At the time, he told reporters, I was never a fan of John McCain, and I never will be.
He also complained about not receiving a thank you for approving funeral arrangements for McCain, despite his dislike for the former senator. McCain was memorialized at Washingtons National Cathedral last fall, and Trump was not invited to attend.

It is easier for me to be mad at the moronic stool samples who voted for people like this than at the actual elected officials.
I’m glad I didn’t vote for the turd.
No - John was reciting the mantra of people he and the dems admire.
His body is rotting and his soul is in Hell. What an absolute embarrassment to civil society...and a putz.
So tell me what the hell that has to do with President Trump?
I finally am convinced,if you are Pro America today, according to democrats you are a tyrant,a racist,a homophobe,a deplorable, thank you then I must be
Still wanna know what went on at that security conference in Halifax in 2016. The one McCain, Christopher Steele, and Tim Kaine all attended...
McCain was mediocre intellectually and less than mediocre morally.
She’s such a dum bass moron.
If Trump was such a dictator, then these dems would be in jail, the media already executed or in camps awaiting execution, and you wouldn’t have to worry about winning any primaries, dearie, as the elections would have been cancelled.
But go on dreaming. Because fantasies about Dictator Donnie probably get you off.
John Sydney McLettuce McCain is one of the sorriest PIECES OF SHIT to ever breath God’s air
I hope that hateful, petty runt of manhood is reliving his pathetic life day after wailing and gnashing day while awaiting Judgement Day, KNOWING what is coming his eternal way.
Still taking bodacious dumps on us even whilst decomposing.
Slime after death. Who knew?
Remember when the partisan press told us how “bad” President Trump was for calling out John McCain?
The same partisan press that spent a year telling us that John McCain was a rotten vampire of a man with stiff arms and wasn’t cool and hip like Obama?
I place traitor paul ryan as mccain's right hand man.
Obama sent filmmakers to prison and wiretapped journalists.
Just what makes the Left think that Trump is a dictator?
Amazing. To stoop to this level requires a special kind of putz.
If true, the only thing it conclusively proves is McCain was a nut-job. What is only in question to me, given his documented behavior pretty much throughout his political career, is why was it not obvious to virtually everyone?
