I listen to 1210 in Philly. They have the same daytime lineup save for 6AM-9AM, which is Michael Smirkanish (sp?), and Jeff Katz from 6PM-8PM?. I like the Smirkanish show but don't care to listen to Katz.

This ought to bring the flames in big time: Rush needs to think about other things than his show. What effect did the pressures of the show have on him, anyway? He needs to put it away now and focus elsewhere. His weenie affiliates will be more than happy lapdogs to have him back, if and when he is able to come back: he's not going to be easily replaced by Ingraham, Medved or anybody, right, middle, or left of center. So this call to action is far too early and misplaced. He needs to exist as if on a desert island bereft of media, with a few good books, and maybe a ballgame. Not thinking about his show. Those left in charge should be simply going about business as usual in the daily production of a show, and leave the promotional stuff, like calling affiliates, on a shelf for a while. They're well trained. They need to do their stuff, and produce a Rush worthy show for heavens' sake. As for Rush, he needs to take a vacation from any thoughts of his show. V's wife.

Rush was very happy to be considered a Republican when he stayed in the White House at the end of the Bush 41 presidency. He also was very happy to be considered a Republican when he went to D.C. and accepted the "Majority Maker" award from the Republicans in Congress in 1994.

Today I had Roger Hedgecock on in the car and he played a clip of Rush from October 8, right after the recall, when Rush said that if Arnold had withdrawn the conservative votes would have gone to McClintock and he would have won. This was obviously not a sure thing (to say the least) and it reminded me of how many times he has been WRONG (like telling us he was sure Hillary wouldn't run for the Senate) and how many times he has been divisive.

I wish him well, but I do not think he is the political expert he thinks he is; he just happens to have a microphone and 3 hours every day.

I also preferred his show back in the pre-1994 years, when there were many more callers and less of his ranting.

And you didn't answer my questions; who are you to tell people they aren't real conservatives, and is it your contention that real conservatives have to believe that Rush is innocent?
