Statement by Jim Robinson Regarding the State of our Free Republic

I happen to believe that Bill and Hillary Clinton were the worst presidents in our nation's history. Corruption, government abuse, treason and daily scandal were the norm under their rule. Bill is a useful idiot who can't keep his mouth shut or his zipper up and Hillary is an America hating godless communist power monger. These are my personal opinions.

Bill and Hillary Clinton and their minions still wield a tremendous amount of power and influence over the Democrat Party, the socialist movement and the national press. Their goals are to completely eliminate our rights to free speech, free religion, freedom to keep and bear arms, etc., and these are just for starters.

I believe the overall goal of their movement is to completely do away with the U.S. Constitution and in its place, install socialist/totalitarian rule over America. Furthermore, I believe they wish to do away with our national sovereignty altogether and subject America to domination by the U.N. and other world bodies.

Now you may call me a nutcase if you wish, but that's the way I see it. I believe that in the last century, FDR, LBJ, RMN, Carter, Clinton, et al, successfully introduced many socialist programs into our government and our way of life and with the help of the media and atheist institutions like the ACLU began systematically destroying the fabric of our society. In the process, they've moved both of our major political parties way over to the left. They (the liberals/marxists/socialists) have almost completely taken over all of our government institutions and agencies, the judiciary, the press, the Universities, our education systems, our charities, even our churches.

I believe that as long as Bill and Hillary Clinton and their like minded socialist minions have any influence or power over the government or either of the two major political parties, our nation and all of our freedoms are in extreme danger.

Free Republic was created in 1996 as a place where liberty-minded individuals could gather and share the news and discuss the Clinton scandals and other government abuses. I had hoped that the truth of the Clinton corruption would come out in time to prevent his re-election in 1996. Didn't happen. So we moved on. If we couldn't block his re-election, well, perhaps we could help with his impeachment. He was impeached, but we could not remove him.

So next, we decide to do all in our power to ensure that his second in command does not get to the Whitehouse. Even though GWB was not my first choice, once he won the Republican nomination, most of us rallied behind him and fought like the dickens to get him elected. Then we fought again to block the attempted Gore coup d'etat. Our Free Republic chapters mobilized all across the nation and there were thousands of rallies and protests in hundreds of cities objecting loudly to Gore's attempted takeover.

Then we all thanked God when Bush was finally declared the winner and off to Washington we went to celebrate at the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball (I).

Then we all thank God again when after the cowardly attack on our nation by a gang of murderous international terrorists we realize how close we were to complete collapse and national destruction had the socialist U.N. loving Al Gore been in charge. Thank God for President Bush!

And I haven't even mentioned how evil I truly believe the official Democrat Party platform is. Here's a partial laundry list of what the Democrat Party supports and promotes: abortion; homosexuality; feminaziism; environmentalism; government control over every aspect of our lives and society; socialized health care; disarmament of the American people; subjugation of the U.S. to the U.N.; the complete elimination of our national sovereignty; complete destruction of our basic traditional family unit; loss of personal freedoms and individual liberty. In other words, complete destruction of our Constitution and Bill of Rights and our American way of life.

I came to the conclusion several years ago that there is no way this republic can survive if we allow the Democrat Party to maintain control over our government and other institutions. If America is to survive as we know it, Bill and Hillary Clinton and all the current democrat/socialist power mongers who share their philosophy and visions for a socialist America and socialist world must be soundly rejected and defeated at the polls.

And not just at the presidential level. They must be rejected and removed from both houses of Congress and from our State houses and local legislatures. For example, if we cannot remove them from the Senate, then there is no hope for reestablishing a judiciary built on the original intent of the Constitution and the rule-of-law. The liberals and socialists must be rooted out of our congress and our judiciary. Our free republic, our freedom and even liberty itself depends on it.

Just my humble opinion and why I act the way I do. I see the Democrat Party as domestic enemy number one of the Constitution and therefor it is my sworn enemy. And, in my eyes, anyone who helps to elect members of the Democrat party are aiding and abetting the enemy.

Futhermore, I believe wholeheartedly in the original intent of our Founding Fathers and in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

God gave us these unalienable rights and they can never be taken from us by man or government. And we are ALL to be treated justly and equally under the law.

"That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."

Yes, the Founders established a government and set forth the plan for us to govern ourselves.

"That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."

The government has become destructive to these ends. One of the main purposes of our government is to defend, preserve and protect our liberty. It has been doing just the opposite. Therefore, it is our right and duty to alter or abolish it. I propose doing so by destroying enemy number one of the Constitution, the corrupt socialist Democrat Party.

From those who know the Clinton's and have at last spoken up, it is Hillary who has the ideology, and it is real with her, downright socialism, with a lot of Marx thrown in. Bill is the good time fella, who likes the power because it helps him with the good times.

I agree that she embraces socialist precepts because they are deceptively attractive to the unknowing masses who have been made to feel victimized (for their class, race, gender, physical size, etc.) and now feel envy or even revenge and are demanding, for lack of a better term, "reparations" which flows from all sorts of socialist-inspired programs.

But I see Hillary pursuing a dream of becoming the first U.S. woman president -- which is a shame since there are so many other more eminently qualified role models to choose from when their time comes. To realize her dream, Hillary needs power and money, and the sooner she loses an election, the sooner her mystique (power potential) will vaporize. Go Rudy Giuliani in 2006!!!!!

Democracy is a bad thing, yes. Because a democracy, by it's very nature, quickly turns into Mobocracy.

I think the problem a lot of Freepers have is that they confuse "Democracy" with "mob rule." There's no real difference between a constitutional Democracy and a constitutional republic. Or am I missing something?

I'm sorry I missed this yesterday. Eloquently put.

We may sometimes disagree on particular issues, policies, or candidates, but never on the fundamental basis of our Republic and the urgent need to opposed the enemies of liberty.

Not all of the enemies of liberty are Democrats, but all of the Democrats are enemies of liberty!

It would be impossible for me to state how fervently I agree with your post.

It still amazes me how I, a longtime conservative political junky and hopeless internet addict who spent countless hours on other bulletin boards discussing politics, could not have found this place until mid-2001. I still consider myself a relative newbie, but I am behind you and your efforts 100%. I cannot imagine how anyone could have done a better job here.

Those who complain about this place, IMHO, are spoiled and have long since taken FR for granted.

Jim, I agree wholeheartedly. Don't forget that the Republican Party has abandoned the Constitution or the idea of making the government smaller. The Republican Party is very comfortable using the government as a money bag to buy votes.

I'm in complete agreement with you. I am so thankful for Free Republic- I've been at other conservative forums but they don't compare to FR. I've left them all behind- FR is all I need.

Jim, you're right on track. With the Dems, its all about power and control. Anyone who doubts this should just look at the pattern of some of their most recent machinations: the unconstitutional blocking of judidical nominations in the Senate; re-interpretation of election laws in New Jersey; and demands for selective vote counts in Florida. They are undermining our democracy.

I happen to believe that, while some of us may loathe the Democratic party, America is best served by two vigorous political parties which disagree with each other. Not to the point of divisiveness: Jim's post shows no interest in working with Democrats to improve America -- but to the point where we can sit down and think rationally about what each other is saying. Otherwise, we won't be heard, and we can't consider their thinking in making sure our policies are sufficiently robust. America NEEDS us to understand each other. In the same way that businesses improve through strong competition, we need the Democrats. If they go away, we will grow complacent.

Besides, they are not Satan: they are our fellow Americans. And anyone who thinks disagreement originated in this generation hasn't spent enough time reading about the debates and discussion which led to our constitution and its bill of rights.

That's it in a nutshell. That is why I refer the right to the left. I'd rather see individuals empowered rather than government. The left trusts no one but themselves; dismissing the electorate for what they think is the common good.

Sad really. For the most part, those on the right seem to have a better understanding of what are politicians are doing in Washington. Our choices seem to empower the individual rather than the government. We tend to use common sense when viewing issues. The left rules with emotion, reality seems to escape them at every turn.

Fortunately, we still have the power to change things. Unfortunately, many good people believe what they are told rather than search for the truth through the lies. It seems many people don't want to know the truth. Just so long as they have their cable TV, SUV, and food on the table, there is nothing wrong in the world. Until that changes, I don't see the left disappearing anytime soon.

Hopefully, we on the right can promote the education of the electorate by challenging the left on every lie they spout and on every self-serving initiative they attempt. The days of taking no action have to end. Maybe if enough of their crap is exposed, they may be forced into extinction. Freerepublic is an excellent example in how we can bring the truth to the forefront.

This is a democratic republic, and was long before party names. Our forefathers had the foresight to make a system of checks and balances. No tyranny of the majority, neither tyranny of the minority.

Well, the correct name was constitutional republic with democratically elected representatives, certainly not a pure "democracy". Perhaps you were taught incorrectly. Anyway, avoiding tyranny of the majority or the minority was the goal of the founders and the constitution provides this as long as it is adhered to. Unfortunately, with activist judges, that is not the case. And activist judges are almost exclusively the product of the left.

The Atenians lost their democracy to the Spartans and the Romans lost their republic to Cesear.

Probably not relevent, except that we are on the verge of losing our constitutional republic to the socialist/liberal democrats.

Please stop with this crap we are a republic not a democracy, it offends true historians.

Are we a little testy today? Whether it offends "true" historians or not is of no concern to me - the correct definition of our form of government is not "democracy" despite the fact that publicly funded schools have, over the years, tried to name it that way.
