Write AGAINST Ted Kennedy TUESDAY!
Posted on 10/21/2003 5:29:24 PM PDT by jmstein7
One can disagree with the pretext of the war in Iraq. . . . Kennedy, by insisting that Bush manufactured a crisis and pursued it for partisan ends, has trespassed even the minimum standards of public debate. If he has evidence that Bush invented the war, he should produce it. If he has not -- and clearly he has not -- Kennedy should be the subject of a Senate investigation and should be censured, if not expelled. -- THOMAS ROESER
Ted Kennedy has gone too far, but nothing will be done unless you help take action. Please write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper and tell them why the U.S. Senate must CENSURE Ted Kennedy! Here are two easy steps:
1) Click here to get some ideas as far as what to write. Remember, keep it short. Short, concise letters get printed. And use the word CENSURE.
2) Click here to use the Write for W form, where you can write your letter and automatically have it sent to the editor of your local publication.
Of course, for good measure, click here to sign the petition to censure Ted Kennedy,
Thank you, FReeprs!

Sir,
Calling George Bush a liar for his interpretation of intelligence on Iraq is akin to accusing Ted Kennedy of murder for the death of Mary Jo Kopekne.
Hmm..

Calling George Bush a liar for his interpretation of intelligence on Iraq is akin to accusing Ted Kennedy of murder for the death of Mary Jo Kopekne. Is that really what you wanted to say? Kennedy DID kill that girl, first by driving drunk, second, by driving like a Kennedy, third, by abandoning the scene overnight when divers said that Kopechne (the correct spelling) could have lived for perhaps an hour in an air bubble in the back seat. Naturally, one could say that it was not premeditated, but the purposeful abandonment of the scene and the failure to immediately call the police blurs the line.
Accusing President Bush for being a liar, and putting it on the same level as Kennedy's murdering of a young girl is calling the President a liar. Or was that your intention? Were you simply comparing the level of murder to the level of "lying" by the President?
Please clear this up. I will be happy to accept that I misunderstood you.

I was putting the liberals in a no win situation.
You won't convince them that Bush is not a liar even if you laid out nuclear weapons in front of them, so I was using logic to equate it to, and remind them of, Scumbag Kennedy's heinous crime.
No I don't think it was murder, he wouldn't have risked his own life to kill her, he would have had someone else do it, but it was manslaughter with blurred lines as you rightly point out.
Therefore my point was that Bush is not a liar, and Kennedy is not a murderer, but if the liberals think they have a case against Bush then with less of a stretch we sure have a case against Kennedy.
However the requirement was "a short letter" - I was trying to be succinct.
Plus of course, it is always good to remind people of Kennedy's "good deeds" and how much he cares for other people.

Gotcha!! My apologies!
I have a wicked sinus headache, so my sense of subtlety is diminished. (I think I am allergic to Amherst, MA)
Keep up the good work! There are far too many GenX and Ys that do not know the history of the senior senator from MA.
