7/8 covered now, very nice red glow around the curve. There is a good explanation of this at space.com

Thanks very much for posting this...I'd forgotten all about it. Took the kids outside, where the moon is beautifully visible in a perfectly clear Colorado sky.

Really? Does it explain why there are always clouds in my area when solar/ lunar eclipses occur?
