WOW! What perspective this puts on things and the first I have read of the whole Shindler/Shiavo history.
After reading this, in my mind, NGFBHINO has an even more extra special pit in hell waiting for him.
What a loser - McDonald's assistant manager, lives in his in-laws' basement for *years.* What a windfall for such a sleazebag. Too bad too many people are paying attention now :)

I had no idea of the details of their lives before Terri's injuries. What a loser. It explains a lot about his attitude toward money.

Michael's a scam artist and a bum. What a shame (and a mystery) how he can attract women.

Just before the 1992 trial for malpractice, Bob said Michael moved in with his parents who had long since relocated from Philadelphia to Florida. I haven't read this piece of information on any of the previous threads about Terri. How long after Michael moved in with his parents did they both die? I know he said on the Larry King show that he had starved and dehydrated to death both of his parents, just as he's tried so hard to do to Terri. He wears his mother's and his father's gold crosses on a necklace, not dissimilar to how he removed Terri's wedding and engagement rings from her hand and had them melted down to make a ring for himself to wear. I wonder how much money Michael got when each of his parents died? I've read that his father died in Pinellas County where the Hospice that Terri's in is located. Anyone know if either of Michael's parents who died of having their food and water withheld were in that same Hospice?

More of the truth keeps coming into the light--slowly.
Hopefully it will not be "too little too late" for justice to be done.
Does anyone know what happened to the Schindlers with Larry King? Has that been rescheduled?

Astounding.

Someone from the vigil posted on Terri's daily thread that Bob Schindler was suffering from high blood pressure and heart problems a few days ago (no wonder). They said the LKL appearance was being rescheduled.

that's my quick pick, too -- SHE'S working, he's not.
. . . about six months after they were married, Bob said Michael and Terri moved into the basement of their Philadelphia home because they were unable to support themselves, despite Terri's fulltime job at an insurance company . . . Terri was able to get a job transfer . . . "Michael Schiavo for the most time was unemployed,"
The sad thing is, Terri is still his meal ticket.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that this beloved Mom and Dad continue to have the courage to speak about their struggle on behalf of their daughter. May their words reach far and wide, dear Lord, for they tell of a family who desires nothing more than the care of their child. Grant them their request, O God .. vindicate their years of suffering and struggle and let loose the bonds that tie Terri to one who wishes her dead. Protect her, O Lord, unto that day, in the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

Bob said Michael enrolled in classes at a local community college in September 1991 and began to date a young woman after a therapy they had pursued for Terri in California didn't work as well as the doctors would have liked. "Two of them became an item," Bob recalled. "He had a photograph of her on his bureau.
"I told him, 'Michael, if you want to go off and ride into the sunset with [the woman], I understand. You are a young guy. Don't worry. Don't let your conscience bother you. Mary and I understand," Bob said he told Michael.
That's when Michael moved in with the woman and had Terri's two cats euthanized, Bob said. At the same time, Bob said Michael had refused to pledge proceeds from the expected malpractice suit to pay for the expensive rehabilitation that doctors told Terri's parents she needed.
It's unclear to me what the Schindlers had in mind at this juncture. Did they want Michael to just go away and leave Terri to them this early in the game? Were they THAT lackadaisacal about adultery? Presumably they know better now! But it has been one long, hard, sore lesson for them.
