Is Campos the hospital worker who was supposedly out back smoking? If so, Greta had a feature on that alleged Laci sighting. Greta said during questioning, the officer who had a report on that sighting was testifying in general that the woman said she saw a pregnant woman with a golden retriever and two unkempt men, at about 10:50 a.m. We know that can't be b/c the dog was not with Laci at that time.
But apparently on cross exam, they asked the officer what about the written report concerning this. They asked if the report actually said the witness said she saw the pregnant woman, etc., at 9:50 instead of at 10:50. The officer supposedly confirmed that the REPORT actually said 9:50.

LOL, guess what, AAID! The male stripper that Amber had that affair with is the same guy whose wife was pregnant during the affair. He sounds like a real prize. (She sure can pick 'em.)
There is absolutely nothing probative that Geragos can get by calling Amber as his witness during this hearing. Nothing. Therefore, I think the talk of a subpoena, and the ominous "papers" given to Allred by Geragos' go-fer, are just a lot of hot air intimidation.
I mean, okay, let's see him call her as his witness. He would be hard-pressed to do anything except try to impeach her. That is not valid legal practice--calling YOUR witness so that you can impeach YOUR witness. This is just more of Geragos' media-hound hot air. If by some quirk she does end up on the stand, called by Geragos, during this prelim, I don't see how it could possibly hurt the prosecution. I do see how it could possibly make Geragos look like a buffoon. (Leaving behind his usual DIGNITY and RESPECT... Laugh. Out. Loud!)

Thats not good news. But Laci would have had to finish washing her floor and get to that area in about 20 minutes - I wonder how far away it was?

Hey, All! I'm finally back and want to say hi, we had a great dinner, fun and all that!
Now, I'm having to go back to square one on this case. After watching Greta tonight, I'm not sure that I think MPD did a very good job with their tips, especially the Campos hospital worker, and possibly with other tips from folks in the park that day that said there were seedy-looking characters jumping out of bushes, scaring people, etc. Believe they should have done a whole lot better than that.
Behavior as described above tends to bring me back to a point Ray made a long time back--that MPD was trying to make the evidence fit their scenario versus letting the evidence lead them. Campos, the hospital worker, should have not been written off so summarily, IMO. Why did it happen? What about Campos was very possibly a "witness to a crime in progress", but it didn't "fit the MPD scenario." JMO

That's what Greta was wondering. So she and (I think) Laura Ingle started at the point where the alleged witness was standing, and began to stroll through the park, headed for Laci's house. They were going to test the amount of time.
And then I had to go pick up my son.
So unfortunately I don't know how long it took to get from Laci's house to the point where she was allegedly sighted! But, as you say, she'd have had to finish mopping the floor at least, and CHANGE HER CLOTHES from the black pants/white shirt, into the tan pants/patterned shirt, and put on her shoes, and then get the dog and get over there.
I'm sure someone here saw the rest of Greta. Hope they will tell us what she concluded.
To: Devil_Anse
But did anyone see you pick up your son?????
To: Sandylapper
According to Greta VS, this story does bear looking into. But I'm not ready to buy the Geragos line of b.s. just yet, lol!
To: Devil_Anse
Yes, I hope someone will let us know.
I really can't see Laci moving too fast at that stage of her pregnancy - and I forgot about her having to change her clothes - that would take up some time too.

Anse, I did see Greta and Laura and believe that the walk took 20 minutes. The timeline would fit with the 9:50 hour, but not the 10:45 or 10:50, whatever was written in the report.
To: Sandylapper
Well, we've got to consider that according to Mr. Prime Witness Scott, she was planning on going shopping to get stuff for the brunch she'd be hosting, BEFORE she took the dog for his walk. Also, even if she dropped the mop the minute Scott strolled out the door at 9:30, she'd still have to put on her shoes, and CHANGE HER CLOTHES FROM THE BLACK PANTS/WHITE SHIRT, to the TAN PANTS/PATTERNED SHIRT, and then get the dog, and then start her walk. Oh--and also put the breakfast dishes in the sink or dishwasher, on her way out!

The article that mentions that witness does not state what she said Laci was wearing. It only says she [the witness] saw a woman, 6-7 months pregnant, with straight, shoulder length hair, walking a golden retriever.

Well, if I'm trying to be fair and objective, here's what I could imagine happenend:
(1) Has anybody ever said that Scott said he left at exactly 9:30 on the dot?
(2) Did the "possible" witness say that it was exactly 9:50 on the dot, or could Scott and the witnesses' times be approximations?
I could envision a scenario where Laci said to Scott, "Before you go, I see dirt in front of those doors that Nava missed yesterday. Bring in the mop and bucket." Then I could see Laci quickly mopping, changing her clothes, picking up the dog leash, mop and bucket, and setting it outside, calling Mackensie, and taking off. Mackensie was a fast walker, and probably dragged Laci if he's anything like my dog.
One other thing I thought was disturbing. This witness said one of the men said, "Shut your effing dog up", because the dog was barking loudly. We've got to have the transcripts to today's session, for sure!

So...whatever happened with Condit and Shandra Levy??
To: Cloe
Article? Where's the article? Somewhere I thought I say that her hair was dark. I need to go read the article! Thanks, Cloe!

The officer testified again after the lunch break during which he listened to the taped interview again. Officer testified that on the tape Campos said 10:50am twice on the recording.
Also, I guys one of these dirty guys was wearing a blue jean jacket. One of the "jump out of the bushes guys" seen by the Sousas had on a down jacket.
Everybody wearing coats on that 40 degree day EXCEPT Laci, just wearing a white top. Hmmmm.
To: Cloe
And how did this witness conclude that the woman she saw was 6 or 7 months pregnant unless she knew Laci or read the newspaper? How many more goldens go to that park? and that was in the news also.

Campos says she saw Laci and dog at 10:45 and watched her and the 2 guys walking until 10:55.
The dog was in the Peterson's backyard at 10:18. Campos was debunked.
To: runningbear
"You'd rather just come to the conclusion that it's suspicious because he's returning to the scene," Geragos said.Yes!
