Help Hold Ted Kennedy Accountable for His Racially Insensitive Remarks
Once again, the press is giving a Democrat Senator a "pass" on racially insensitive conduct. If you are unfamiliar with the controversy, click here. We, the people, must not let Senator Kennedy skate.
Please help out by taking the following easy steps to get the story out:
1) Click here to open an email to CORE (the Congress of Racial Equality). It is time for them to prove they can be effective, and writing to Republicans in Congress is not the answer to this issue. Of course, please feel free to send this email to any group that is in a position to help on this issue.
2) Compose an email demanding that Senator Kennedy be held responsible for his conduct. If you are short on time, a sample email follows:
Dear Mr. Innis,
I am writing to you because I am OUTRAGED by Senator Ted Kennedy's insensitive public comments on Friday -- specifically, his calling well-qualified minority judges such as Janice Rogers Brown and Miguel Estrada, African-American and Hispanic respectively, "Neanderthals". Though Senator Kennedy's comments were unquestionably insensitive, he refuses to apologize -- nor is the "free press" forcing him to apologize. In fact, it appears that they are once again burying a story merely because pursuing it would hurt a popular Democrat.
If a Republican had made the same comment, his congressional office would have been empty by 12:00pm yesterday afternoon -- and Senators like Ted Kennedy would be calling for blood (and for heads to roll).
CORE's mission, as stated, is "to identify and expose acts of discrimination in the public and private sectors of society. When such an act is uncovered, CORE. . . goes into action." It is time to go into action.
This blatant bias in the press -- self-imposed press censorship to protect a Democrat Senator -- must not stand, and Senator Kennedy must be held accountable for his reprehensible, hypocritical, insensitive conduct. Therefore, I call on CORE to immediately and publicly take visible action and call for Senator Kennedy's resignation, as he has once again proved that he is unfit to serve in the United States Senate. At the minimum, Senator Kennedy must be censured for his atrocious conduct.
Thank you,
YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS
3) Send it!
4) Click here to send an email to your friends asking them to email CORE as well! Just compose a message and put your friends email addresses in the TO field.
Good job!
PS Please check in (or reply with a BUMP) after you send your email so we can get a head count. Thanks!

First, "dimwitted skulls"? Isn't that like calling republicans neandrothals?
Won't even consider suggesting you use spell check.
To answer your question, No! It was supposed to read "dimwitted Numbskulls" with no inference to Neandrothals implied.
However, given the Republicans pathetic lack of outrage at Kennedy's statement, I would now have to consider them one geodesic era below the now embarrassed Neanderthal.
Today is now Monday and where is the media coverage as well as the woefully anticipated Republican outrage at Kennedy's "Neanderthal" statement?
As I stated, come Monday the statement will have become forgotten history......

Give me a break. Racist? His remarks were demeaning and ignorant, but they were not racist. Don't start hyping things into something they are not like the Dems do.

I can see where you just get tired after awhile with the things like the Lott affair that you described above, so you just lash out when you get a chance. But I thought our goal was to try to end the situation we've had over the years where every innocuous statement is searched for some ludicrous racial component. Raising a fuss over this remark won't accomplish that goal. Most any other day, I do agree with your sentiments that the ends do not justify the means. I guess when you get down to the brass tacks, I'm just at the point where I'm fed up and honestly want to see the crows come home to roost on the Left side of the fence.
In all this, I'm reminded of the one poor guy who happened to use the word "niggardly" (which is totally unrelated to anything even remotely racist!) and he got the royal screw by the Left.
And somehow I'm supposed to believe that if we keep letting the Left get away with playing the race card at the drop of a hat while we take the canonical high road that everything will turn out all right in the end? I'm sorry, but I'm just not seeing it.

In a perfect world, it would mean getting his butt kicked out of the Senate.

Racism is hating a person because of their race. Yes the dems hate blacks and hispanics, that is why they put minorities where they do in their social agenda. And if the blacks or hispanics don't stay in their place, the dems are too quick slander. You need to open your eyes.

It sure is racial--but none of the current races. The Neanderthals were a subspecies of man that died out--perhaps due to genocide. So, in a way, "Neanderthal" is as racist as you can get. But since offensiveness is directly correlated to voting population, "Neanderthal" flies below the radar.

LOL!
I agree there should be some outrage, just not because it is racially motivated. It is not.
Also, I did consider using spellcheck, I was just too lazy. What makes it worse, I knew I spelled it wrong more than once since Kennedy's statement. My bad. I'm embarrassed, I'll go to my room now. "N e a n d e r t h a l" firmly implanted in my brain.

Speaking of Senator Kennedy...he's throwing a fit on the Senate floor now. Attacking the House Republicans over prescription drugs. Silly Republicans--wanting to give people medical savings accounts they control themselves with their own money.

I understand your view in this context: President Bush has remained above the fray of back biting and name calling. The Democrats have exhaustively used every dirty trick to bring Bush down. Who's winning? Let the democrats implode.
