This kind of war of attrition is precisely what the Nazis tried in the nations they invaded and occupied. If you'll read a little history, you'll appreciate that it didn't work and only strengthened the resolve of those who opposed them.

I'm angry when American troops are killed too, but please get a grip on yourself - this really is insanity. We are not making war on the Iraqi people and the vast majority of them are not making war on us. There are innocents and there are the guilty here, never forget that. We came to overthrow Saddam Hussein, not replace him.
