Hillary at the Table...Did you notice the soldier to her right?...LOL
Opinion ^ | 11/28/2003 | Bob Eimiller

Did you happen to see the video of Hillary having Thanksgiving dinner with "her" troops in Afganistan? It was worth 10,000 words and a perfect expose' of who she is and what the troops think about her.

The food was in front of them...remember, this was Thanksgiving dinner... Hillary, with her eyes wide and bulging as they usually are when she is feigning excitement and interest in the "little" people around her, begins stuffing her face immediately. By glaring contrast the solder on her right is... WITHOUT QUESTION... giving thanks with his head bowed in prayer.

This, in microcosm,IS the person of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The soldier then began to partake of his meal obiously without acknowledging the media proclaimed "celebrity" to his left.

IMHO he was not at all enthused about the "Senator" sharing his table... especially on this special day of giving thanks.

LOL..The camera can tell so many stories the media can't spin away.

hope you're right, but I never underestimate the stupidity of about half of the voters. Those algore voters in 2000 are still out there.

Trust me, President Hillary Clinton will never happen.

CHANCELLOR Clinton, on the other hand...

Sorry. I just had to put your pic over here.
I hope it's OK with ya. Classic stuff like this should be shared with other FReepers to appreciate.

I saw the video yesterday, and told the people watching with me that I bet the guy to her right was not only giving thanks, but was also praying that none of his friends or family saw the video.

What PIAPS did, going to Afghanistan, was not fitting and proper. She's so far outside the cultural norm as to almost be from outer space.

I despise Hillary for many reasons, and wish her a bitter and lonely old age, far from any consolation, fearful of death and judgement. But since she made it to Junior Senator of NY on her husband's coattails, couldn't she at least pretend she's a human being?

No one in the world believes anything good about her marriage--it's a joke and most think it always has been. Her child is publicly badly behaved. She has no home, no wardrobe, no looks, no personality. All she has is power, and that's reduced to being in control of money and dirty secrets...

I'm thinking of the incident where her SUV hit the security guard and she just drove on by. I know if God forbid I should ever strike a human with my car I would be devastated--they'd have to take ME to the hospital, too...but she apparently went on to do whatever she had planned for the day, as though it hadn't happened...

I'm thinking of her standing on stage and being booed--again, she acts as though nothing untoward has happened...what on earth? Publicly humiliated, and not even a tear? Just furious anger, and having the tape edited to rewrite reality?

I mean, this is bizarre...Your husband is publicly unfaithful, and all you do is put a few lines in a book? Come on! It would be more believable if she went on an eating binge or drank, or even had a suicide attempt...

Nothing about her is human. Nothing evokes my empathy, or comfort, or compassion, or, finally, even my interest.

Condi Rice was giving a press conference from Crawford Ranch on CNN. I only saw part of it, but enough to hear her say that the trip had been planned weeks in advance by a senior staff assistant. The final decision came after his report was reviewed by Rice, Chaney and Bush.

The thrust of the review was to confirm both security and safety.

The fact that it was a PR coup and took the wind out of Hillary's sail was just icing on the cake.

Something about your tagline is a little disturbing to me. You're not a newbie, but this certainly is a DU-looking tagline.

Not DU at all. A number of people who picketed at the State Capital in 2000 in favor of GWB have been quite disappointed in aspects of his Administration.

However, in view of the Thanksgiving Visit, I may have to revise said tag line. My purpose is to have someone in the Administration read it and get the word to Andrew Card or whomever to start showing some concern for the Middle Class.

The Election isn't in the bag yet!

(a) She is not human, (therefore it is OK to despise her), bitter is her normal state of mind, old age would be a gift and would also delay the judgment that she should fear.  You are much too kind and must be a Conservative.
(b) Wasn't there a video of that on FR?  I vaguely remember it, it is worth re-visiting.

No, his trip has been in the works for several weeks. Her trip was just announced within the last week. Maybe her's was planned first.

"I saw the video on Fox....the soldier spent at least 1 -2 mins., it seemed, in prayer, first. Then began to eat. Did not once turn his head to shillery."

Really? I'm Fox News deprived up here...

Soldier, whoever you are: thank you for your service and for maintaining your composure in the face of Hillary. In fact, I'd argue that you deserve some extra special bonus points at the pearly gates for sitting next to Hillary yet maintaining your calm. ;)

I'm not sure I could do the same.

Now that's a topic for a thread: what would you do/say if you were ever given the opportunity to talk for fifteen minutes with Bill or Hillary? With none of their goons around to threaten you afterwards... ;) :)

Oh, well, I'm way below average, I can't remember how to post a picture.

But I really appreciate this thread, and I sure wish I had Fox News... :(

"am a dinner guest I am sure to pause to make sure someone else says a prayer first (if they want) out of politeness before digging in. This is especially true at Thanksgiving dinners.
"

Well, so very true! This is basic etiquette!

If Hitlery started chowing down while people were still saying prayers of thanks on Thanksgiving...

wow... that is all I can say.

On Thanksgiving, even people who rarely go to church stop and thank God for their blessings. I don't want to get personal, but my family went to church infrequently, but we always said grace before Thanksgiving.

If Hillary started eating while people were still praying... that is a very telling comment on her awareness/caring of other people and of basic manners and of... oh, boy, a whole host of things.

Wow... that's all I can say.

So very true. Living in Canada, I have people ... oh never mind. it makes me sick. Everyone up here hates GW and loves Clinton. They are so unbelievably uninformed... actually, they are misinformed. VERY misinformed. :(

And that doesn't take into account all the people like my friends in Denver and my sister... diehard liberals.
