Having spent yesterday journeying from Vienna back to the US, I saw the news stands with all of these headlines.

One major point, the European view of the Iraq war is exactly the same as all demonRAT candidates(except Lieberman). Are the candidates mimicking the Europeans, or vis-versa? I don't know, but whatever it smells like treason to me.

Interesting which newspapers printed a cleaned up version of Saddam, instead of what he actually looked like when captured.

And the Chicago Sun Times soesn't even have the story on the front page. At least not where you can see it.

Wow! Holy Moly, what a post!

That first picture at the top left, the guy holding the boy...I believe that the man is the Iraqi Police Commander equivalent to a LTC,for Taji which is just north of Baghdad. He's holding his youngest son, 7th of his children. Cute little kid, very polite.

As a practicing (will probably never get it right) Christian, I know this is
a bad thought...
I generally don't believe in extra-terrestrials having visited our planet,
but when I see some of the mania in the Arab/Muslim world, I can't help wondering...

Maybe the Borg aren't a fictional creation.

There are probably about 12 AKs in Iraq, and the AP and Reuters boys carry them around as props for the locals to pose with to increase the chance that their photos get published.

We left them in possession of their individual weapons. It really chaps my A$$ that they can have full auto AKs with folding stock, flash suppressor, bayonet lug and full capacity magazine. And many Americans can't! Not even a semi-auto version. No americans can have newly manufacutured one, semi or select fire, but Iraqies can? What's wrong with this picture.

The members of the religion of pieces saw how Texas' 4th ID troops cage their "fearless leader," Saddam like a rat and are now finding out that "Don't Mess With Texas" is a warning worth listening to.

Maariv Newspaper ("We got him")

Yideot Ahronot (Captured and humiliated)

Both papers are centrist, and Maariv a bit more right wing. There is not one paper in Israel that loves Saddam. But if you turn your eyes to the PLO areas.....
