"Buying a witness gets only a suspension?"
I know it it difficult to comprehend the depth of corruption within the FloriDUH legal system. But try to imagine if there could be any reason for a lawyer(de Judge) to break the rice bowl of a fellow lawyer.
After all, it was just the first time! He meant no harm! Think of his children if Daddy has to find a job based upon what society feels he is worth, instead of what a 'brother in the law' decides he is worth!!
Welcome to law and justice in the Sheeples Republic of FloriDUH, where every day, in sooo many ways, the 'crats and lawyers earn their state's nickname.

The latest upset for Boies comes after Edward H. Wohl - his co-counsel in jewelry heir Bruce Winston's long legal feud with brother Ronald Winston - was suspended for 90 days earlier this year. Wohl had violated the law by paying off a witness. Huh? 90 days suspension?
WTF?

And maybe alienation of affections.

Is renting a witness O.K.? I'll ask the Florida Supreme Court.
And didn't David Boies used to be a rock star?

I'm no friend of Boies, in fact I stood on the Tallahassee courthouse steps and yelled against him. He does currently happen to be representing SCO in their multi-billion dollar suit against Linux though (along with Senator Orin Hatch's son), somewhere I wouldn't mind seeing him prevail.

James Fox Miller, a former Florida Bar president who Boies has designated to be his spokesman on the flap, says he can't understand why the Bar is making such a fuss. "How much David's prominence, internationally and nationally, played into their decision to proceed with this . . . who knows?" he said. Mr. Miller, if you're so concerned about famous people getting charged because of their fame, I'm sure you'll want to help out a famous Florida victim by the name of Rush Limbaugh.

Do you know how many times I've been flamed for being "duh"? I'm drawn to anything relating to Algor in any way because we wouldn't be here right now if he was the potus.

Now there's a new legal argument which a FloriDUH lawyer can make in any FloriDUH court and pass the red-faced test;
"Yo Honuh, Ah was jest rentin 'thet witness. Ah didn't buy him.
'Sides, rentin one of them there things is a site cheaper, too."

Boies appears intent on running the SCO suit into the ground. I'm cheering for him to make that touchdown for the team opposing him. Clownish
folie a deux like Boies-and-McBride's (and it looks a whole lot like Boies is egging on McBride) has no place in a courtroom.
Were McBride smart, he'd fire Boies and hire the gardener. He'd stand more than an order of magnitude higher chance of winning something more than just catcalls.
