The year to take America back?

Happy New Year!

The party is over. The revelry has ended.

Another year has come and gone. The new one is full of promise.

Individually we all start with a blank slate and hopes of doing things better than we have done them in the past.

We resolve to lead healthier, more productive and more fulfilling lives – to live, and live more abundantly.

Those of us who live in the United States are fortunate to have such hope. There are many people in the world – most, in fact – who have no hope. They live in totalitarian or authoritarian countries where governments have no respect for individual liberties.

We do not want to join them.

However, history shows us that we are either moving in the direction of more freedom or in the direction of tyranny. There is no such thing as standing still.

That's why I wrote "Taking America Back." This is the manual for reclaiming real freedom in our country. This is the guidebook for re-establishing self-government. This is the instruction book for rejecting creeping totalitarianism. This is the map book for charting a new course to liberty.

And what better time to chart that course for freeing yourself and your country than the brand new year?

Great things happen when we have high expectations. I have high expectations that this book could re-ignite the torch of freedom in this country. I am upbeat and positive – even though I see our nation beset with grave institutional and seemingly insurmountable problems.

The secret, I believe, to achieving victory is to go on offense.

For too long, freedom-minded Americans have been playing defense only. They react to problems. They react to initiatives from the enemy on dozens of fronts.

They content themselves to beating back an encroachment on their freedom – even while a dozen others succeed.

"Taking America Back" is a blueprint for taking the war to the other side. It's a battle plan for waging an offensive struggle against the forces of darkness. It's an instruction manual for reclaiming our heritage of liberty. It's a guidebook to taking back territory already ceded to the bad guys.

In "Taking America Back," I lay out a 12-step program for winning this new revolution. I explain concepts few other authors have ever tackled for the mass audience:

What is self-government? What does it mean? Why is it essential to being a free people?

What is defense? Hint: It has nothing to do with the ability to project military power around the world.

What are the practical first steps that anyone can and should take to get their country back?

This is a radical book. This is not for the faint of heart. This is not a book for armchair revolutionaries. This is not for compromisers. This is a book intended to propel you into action.

So, if you are content with the direction of our country, avoid this book at all costs. If you think America is getting freer all the time, you probably won't understand the principles of this book. If you believe your children's world is saner, more secure and happier than your world, just turn on the television and forget you ever heard of "Taking America Back."

For the rest of you, get your order in right now. Get your copy. Read it. Read it again. It won't take more than a few hours. Lend it to others. Let me know what you think.

Let's pray 2004 is the beginning of that movement.

America is "taken back" every day of every year. In the marketplace, in the home, in halls of government, in courtrooms, on airwaves everywhere is a constant battle of right vs. wrong, liberty vs. oppression, truth vs. lies, plenty vs. poverty, light vs. darkness, life vs. death.

Every day is a day to have courage, to know what is worth standing for, to be ever vigilant in the cause of liberty, to cherish the awesome Gift that our America is, she and her Constitution, and to discipline [myself] to be fit for Self Government.

I hope to fight the good fight this year, as in every other year, and remind everyone I can -- inclulding public servants -- to do the same.

The recent show of power by the internet users to CBS (the Reagan movie fiasco) and to General Electric (Paul Harvey sponsorship withdrawal) demonstrate that we have already begun to "take America back".

If we had ALL been this active years ago, we wouldn't be in this position now. It is now our duty to continue to speak up and remain active for the next generations.

demonstrate that we have already begun to "take America back".

But will Terri Schindler Schiavo survive the year?

we have already begun to "take America back".

Have we?

Where does the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 fit in the "take America back" scenerio?

Where does the unconstitutional funding from the public treasury fit in the "take America back" scenario?

Where does the representative that promise favors from the public treasury fit in the "take America back" scenario?

Where does the person who exchanges their vote for favors from the public treasury fit in the "take America back" scenario?

Where does the person who mistakenly believe the Constitution is about them fit in the "take America back" scenario?

Sshhhhh!

You know better than to ask divisive, un-Amurikun questions like that around here - especially during an election year! What are you? Some kind of leftist?

It's all about partisan politics - not what's right for American freedoms.

Get with the program!

What are 'they' taking it back to - the eight years of Clinton corruption, scandal and abuse of our Constitution and government? This is just plain nuts!

America has a strong President now, a leader who has proved to the world that America means and does what she says she will do. Democrats will appease the most flagrantly corrupt dictators, corporations and give the United Nations free rein to tax and plunder the Internet along with lifting our Sovereignty...Democrats are Socialists, make no mistake about it. Equality for everyone except for themselves...they want power and more of your money...don’t forget they are complaining and bashing President Bush for things they had eight years to do something about...he has had three years to turn around the most corrupt administration in history. The Democratic mantra is that President Bush is not a legal president; they have pushed that line so hard that unfortunately many people who read little, believe it.
