What's with the knee pads on the guy with the unusual shoes to the left of SH? I believe these are now standard issue so one can hit the ground without jarring the back as much as we once did. I've seen them on lots of soldier's lately.

I wouldnt be surprised that the guy grabbing Hussein in that photo was the one that received Saddam's spit . . .Judging from the ghastly effect to the soldier's face, Saddam's saliva is a WMD.

I wouldnt be surprised that the guy grabbing Hussein in that photo was the one that received Saddam's spit, and punch Saddam in the face in return! I didn't know that SH spit at our GI. Our guy should have kneed SH a few times in the nuts.

I think the soldier holding Saddam is wearing a Gore-Tex parka, which wouldn't have a nametag or unit patch on it. You can see his nametag just inside on his uniform blouse (barely). No idea on the odd footwear of the guy on the left though.
