40% of the country will vote Dim. Vote will vote Repb. Its the 20% that matters and you have to do something for that 20%. I would much rather have Pres Bush in there now and this year than Dean or any other Dim idiot. Then the flood gates open and we have all the other agendas that Bush has tried to keep from bay. Dont conservatives remember that even with a majority, Bush was not able to get his conservative judges through. I mean this was not too long ago. Imagine the hell we will get with a Dim in the WH...

I am getting such a kick out of hearing all these folks with their drawers in a knot about illegal immigration.

It's amazing. I worked 110 degree Texas summers in warehouses while growing up with Mexicans (illegal, legal, whatever). They were not only great people that busted their butts and loved being in America, but they were a total blast to work with. Solid people, and if California doesn't want theirs, they can send them our way, b/c Texas Hispanics are voting almost 40/60 GOP and moving even more to the right as they become integrated. But then again I've never heard many Texans taling about how our society is about to collapse b/c the guys mowing the fairways over at the course can't speak English. What a joke.

Well.. I was a Democrat and found that the Democrat Party left ME.. and gladly I changed my party affiliation. I've voted straight Republican for years. Now I feel there is NO place to go.. I am feeling the same about the Republican party.. it's left me. I plan to write-in Tancredo, the only option I see at the moment.

Why is it that Texas conservatives like us are pro-business, capitalist, and immigrant-friendly whereas California "conservatives" on FR are totalitarian, restrictionist, isolationist, and anti-immigrant to the core? God Bless Texas, imho.

Because the sushi-and-brie eating, Chablis-drinking foofooers out in California only want browns around when one of their kids gets a suntan.

We, in Texas, have had bunches of Mexicans around since we declared independence. Texas has the LOWEST payments to welfare recipients of any state in the Union, so immigrants who come here have GOT to work.

We've got taquerias sprouting up all over the Metroplex here. Fresh, homemade Mexican food, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the hottest salsa in the universe!

How coudl I not be happy?

Too many of the best ones have left California I think, many probably for Texas. The last holdouts in the undergrowth are a bit strange.

Actually Costa Rica has one of the longest lasting republican forms of government in the world. In addition, South American countries in the 1800s preceded European nations in throwing off monarchies.

I don't want the rest of the country to end up like that either.

Most of us don't want to have economies like Mississippi though... which is what your proposal here would set us on track to have.

Much the same in California.

I will add that Mexicans are great at all sort of entrepreneurial things. Most of the small machine-shop subcontractors in San Jose and LA were Mexicans.

I don't live in California! I don't want the rest of the country to end up like that either.

California's beautiful, and would be a great place to live, if you could afford the housing. The rest of the country should be so lucky!

I hope you live long enough to see the stupidity of your positions.

Are you threatening me? My boys are cops, remember?

You obviously love to make unsubstantiated assertions. Name one industry that would be crippled without illegal aliens and then enlighten me with some numbers and credible sources.

Maybe..uh...the coke industry?

I think there's one more thing you're missing as well. Texans are much more Christian and even non-practicing Christians are immersed in a culture of it... so people just naturally seem to understand that why they might disagree with immigration policies and the act of illegally immigrating, that it would not be a very Christ-like thing to go despise these people and outcast them. Like I say... God Bless Texas.

" I think it is possible, not immediate, but possible, and probable to come. It’s all a matter of which party gets on this wave first – the Republicans or the Democrats. I predict, that will be the Party that will sweep America."

You are thinking of the America that used to be. There is a great shadow of evil passing over our once fair land and the political will, be it Republican or Democrat is to do only that which will secure its own power. It cares not for the people other than that we produce to satisfy their greed and feed their lust for power. Daily we are required to relinquish more of our freedoms and never is it enough. If we raise a challenge, we are beaten down by judicial despots who wield with impunity our beloved Constitution, fashioned by their perverse interpretation and dark desires as a weapon against those it was designed to protect.

To our government we are but producers and eaters, no longer individuals with dignity and power of independent will beyond nice words which may only be spoken as long they have no meaning. I am heartsick and grienve the loss of the country I loved and the sacrifice of those who even now fight to defend a mythical land of liberty that was once a shining beacon bringing hope to all who looked upon her, whose glory is past, now fading into the mist of legend as the armies of darkness besiege the land and savage that which was once sacred. Our spirit grows dim and our hopes for the future dwindle. Our strength is swallowed in sorrow. May God have mercy upon us in spite of ourselves and restore to us the will to do what is right and the courage to go on, to continue to fight for that noble vision from which we came forth.

Dobbs has been very against illegal aliens for months. It's CNN but Lou Dobbs is one program I can watch there.

Though I watch Brit Hume of course but I catch some of Dobbs during the FNC commercials.

Haha. Hey... excuse me... ma'am... the movie's over. Frodo won. You can go home now. We're not all doomed anymore. Frodo did it. Yeah... there there... that's it... we're all going to be OK...

Unbelievable. This place is a mental ward.

Home-building, janitorial services, construction, restaurants, etc...

Hey, Rebel... have you ever sat down and talked to a Mexican or an illegal Mexican?
