When I was in 7th grade back in CT in 1965 , one evening in November some of my teammates and I were on our way home after basketball practice when I saw some bright lights in the sky overhead . At first I assumed it was an airplane , but it suddenly stopped in mid-air , which airplanes couldn't ( before Harrier ) do . There was no sound , so it wasn't a helicopter . We stood and looked at it for a half a minute or so when it suddenly zoomed away at ultra supersonic speed - gone . Well ?

Did basically the same thing when I was six with my grandfather. Swore I could see him when no one else could. We were living in Germany at that time in 1952. My parents called the States to learn he had just died that day. Six year olds don't make things like that up, especially when they have never seen the Twilight Zone.

No bump on the head, I was wide awake, and figuring for the time difference it was exactly the same he died in the States. My explanation would be, it was his last thoughts as he died since I was named for him. I had witnesses and they were fixing to call a doctor to calm me down.

PS: Got to rule Hillary out also since I am older and she wasn't born yet.

Those things do happen now and again in life with some people, I've heard of things like your story before.

The day my wife died, after she passed, I kept hearing her say "April 23rd. Something very important will happen April 23rd"

I thought I was due to die on Apr. 23rd.

She had died in January, two days later she was cremated.

Since we were not official, but called each oher husband and wife, and had been together 12 years, her family got to make the arrangements.

Two weeks later, I was talking to her brother on the phone, he said "Since Easter was her favorite holiday, we are going to bury her on Easter"

I dropped the phone, ran to get a calender, the hair on the back of my neck still stands up, she was buried Easter Sunday, April 23rd, 2000.

That one is hard to explain. I personally don't think my grandfather was dead yet when I had my episode, but was thinking of me as he died. I think thoughts can be transmitted like a radio wave since thoughts are supposed to be electrical. I think there is basically a physical reason for that. In your case and other cases like it that I have heard, I can offer no explination.

You kind of have to wonder at times what is waiting for us on the other side when we die. I just can't immagine the mind, spirit, soul or whatever will just cease to exist.

Allow me to put this in its proper perspective:

1) It is the height of arrogance to believe we are the only form of intelligent life in the universe.

2) If you are gonna talk about the Bible, perhaps you should mention the spacecraft seen by Ezekiel.

3) I have seen what could only be described as an unidentified spacecraft, up close, in New Paltz, NY in 1986.

4) So Ross thinks the sightings, the photos, the film footage, the abductions are all the work of demons, hmm? This guy is not much different from Phillip Klass, in that they are both low-grade morons.

I know, it is hard to explain. If I had heard her say any other date, say Apr 22, then I imagine my faith would have been totaly, completely destroyed. Even as it was, I and my faith suffered tremendously.

But maybe there is some kind of meaning in it. Who knows? I suspect that a person probably learns and knows more in the last twenty seconds of his life than the whole rest of his life put together.

That might explain why some people die with an expression of peace on their face and some die with an expression of pure horror.

When I was a much younger man, dating a different gal, we went to the hospital to visit her aunt who was on her deathbed. I had met her aunt only once before. Standing near the back, in a room of about ten people, she waved at me to come to the bed.

"We will see each other again!" she said, holding my hand, and with a feeling of great peace and joy.

I barely knew her, and everyone in the room was astounded, as was I.

She passed later that evening.
