"My campaign to fight for working people may be ending tonight, but our fight will never end," Mr. Gephardt said in a post-caucus speech that sounded like a political farewell.

Don't let the door...

Yeah... but you know what tickles me... He was upset that Dean got the public employee yoonyun endorsement away from him and all he was left with was the private sector yoonyuns and so these two yoonyun pimps came in last and next to last!!!

Of course IA doesn't mean anything, except to the media. Clinton came in fourth in IA and look how lucky Ross Perot made him!!!

Yeah!! The Gephardt career is over. He took down Dukakis in 88. Lost the House in 94. Lost more seats in 02 and resigned as minority leader. And now this. I am going to miss him. He's like shooting fish in a barrel.

The old Union Thug just keeps losing and dropping out.

I believe that he had the highest AWOL day count of any congressit in 2003.

C Ya, Dick!

He campaigned as a man with working-class roots, talking frequently about his father, a milk-truck driver and member of the Teamsters union

Y'know, Dick got a lot of mileage out of what was a six month interim job between real jobs his father had, beside the fact that both Dick's late mother and his brother attested to the fact that the senior Gephardt detested both the milkman job and the union he was forced to join.

Running on a pledge to institute an international minimum wage law didn't help his chances.

See ya, you toad.

Nor did Mr. Gephardt say whether he intends to serve out his current term in Congress, his 14th and last.

I wonder if it's really his last term? Give him a few months, I'll bet he'll spin out his congressional election bid. Something like "after we lost the white house (again) and now that republicans control 300 seats in the house, I need to stay on to counter the republican menace".

I get a hoot out of these candidates who say that they will give up their seat in congress or the senate to run for the presidency. Kind of like a suicide pact if they don't win.

I wonder if the term, "miserable failure" now takes on a new meaning?

Sorry this is off subject, but look carefully at what I just copied and now paste here offa CBS.MarketWatch.com latest bulletins section:

10:40AM AMD rallies amid analyst upgrade (AMD) by Tomi Kilgore

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) was up 17 cents, or 1 percent, at $16.93 after Schwab SoundView upgraded the chipmaker to "outperform" from "neutral." Analyst Hans Mosesmann believes "a significant shit in management is taking place," as founder and chairman Jerry Sanders had become "more of an issue" for shareholders. He said chief executive Dr. Hector Ruiz could talk total control of the company's strategic direction, which he believes would be a "positive" for the stock. Mosesmann raised his price target to $23 from $16.

Please read the paragraph that Sierra Wasp has copied from the Crack CBS financial site:

Was there a significant sh** in the Rat Party in Iowa last night?

Gephardt TV ad's were rampant in Michigan the last 2 weeks. This must have costs thousands of dollars for TV time ....and all for nothing(he won't even be around for MI.'s primary). How much of this wasted cash could have gone to help working families and the children. Such hypocrites these Dem's are.

I remember back in '12 when Gephardt conceded to Woodrow Wilson.
