And, of course, does one really think that AQ would go out of its way to kill as FEW people as possible with the letters?
for once, we agree ... look at the targets ... I think there's a clue there ... or it's made to look like a clue ... that may be hard to prove ...

Are AQ leaders in Florida? Do they blend in more with the international populations of South Florida? Is that why all the low-level lowlifes are there?
It was Khalid Mohammed who told authorities about MIT-trained biologist Aafia Siddiqui, who at one time was thought to be traveling with a Florida "Atta level" pilot.

Thanks for that clarification. Seems more of a direct connection to say KSM used the name in his mailings elsewhere. That alone would be indicting.
I could look, but do you have a reference to where the KSM computer files are described mentioning "Greendale?"

I try to read all the anthrax articles, but haven't had time to sort out all the players. I yield to your superior knowledge and would be very interested in links to Bada's report(s) as well as the dairy processors work.
I read the post as saying Zawahiri spent 15 years recruiting expertise, but I saw no comment on his success. Do you have further knowledge here?
The main point of my post was that the article here says there were clumps of spores 40 to 100 microns in size and with no repulsive charge, which doesn't sound like the material described by LM. I didn't mean to try endorse anyone's views of state sponsorship or lack thereof, as my main focus was the description of the spores. OTOH I wouldn't mind finding out Iraq was involved because it would be such a large and fragrant floater in the liberals punchbowl.
I was also wondering, how small of a spray drier can you get? I only have experience with power plant size units.

"Oh, by the way, I am having a hard time finding anything about KSM and "Greendale School." Got any clues?"
4TH GRADE
GREENDALE SCHOOL
FRANKLIN PARK NJ 08852
There is a Greenbrook Elementary School with grades K-4 in New Jersey. Its Zip code is 08824. It is in a town called Kendall Park, New Jersey, which is very close to Franklin Park.

Any simpleton can see that the purpose of the anthrax letters was never to try to kill as many people as possible. They're a rather clear and straightforward warning: we have deadly anthrax, and if you come after us, we will use it and kill many, many more of you. The second "wave" of mailings was a rather obvious and desperate last-ditch effort to stave off our attack in Afghanistan which everyone who was paying attention knew was going to come at just about any moment.

What's your take on source of Ames?
To: pokerbuddy2; The Great Satan
You know one connecting dot was that Saddam has a thing for J-Lo. Found pictures, etc of her in his stuff. Who was it that wanted the J-Lo connection more widely discussed? TGS?

I'm hoping Jim will nuke Pokerbuddy2 Quickest way to die around here is to post a duplicate thread or put something yawn-y in BN OR make _Jim irritable.

What's your take on source of Ames? The strain was probably stolen from one of our labs years ago. Who really knows how many countries have the Ames strain nowadays? Our country is still a sieve even now, and was far worse back during the Clinton years. You'd have a heart attack if you saw some of the freaks who got security clearances back in those days.
