Freeper Prayer Request

Thursday (Jan 22) I see an OB oncologist for a 5" mass found on my right ovary in an ultrasound I underwent to determine the cause of a persistent sharp abdominal pain. I've had a Ca-something blood test (to reveal the presence of cancer?) that I don't know the results of, but my exam with the OB oncologist will start the ball rolling on what the cause of the mass is. Cancer? I don't know, but it's suspected. Family history has mother and grandmother with ovarian cancer. I'm very scared and dread this appointment, full knowing that finding the truth will help. It's hard to face fearing the worst, which is what I truly fear. Help me face this exam and the results. Thank you.

Prayer bump.

Thousands of Freepers pulling in your direction, giznort. About 18 years ago I had a large mass develop on one side of my neck, and initial analysis was very downbeat. Those were dread-filled days of no rest or relief. Eventually it was found to be non-cancerous. So I know what you are feeling, and I also know you can not and must not assume the worst. Godspeed.

My prayers are with you. My Mom had a uterine tumor the size of a grapefruit removed years ago. It was benign. I will pray yours is too. I am in Wisconsin so it will be an even closer prayer!

Prayers uplifted from me to you, giznort. Be well tonight.
To: giznort
Lord, I am a sinner and don't deserve you to hear my prayers but I ask that you hear this one not for me but for someone else - give her strength, hope, comfort her, and help guide the hands of those you put into her path so that she may be well again. You made me my Lord, you gave me this life and voice, I pray that you hear this voice for someone more deserving of your grace and gifts than I. You are just my Lord, in your word said unto us "Ask and ye shall recieve" I ask this in your Holy name, I ask this for one of your own creation who is now calling on you for help. Have mercy Lord and hear the prayers of those here who lift her needs up to you.
Humbly, a wayward servant. Thank you Jesus.

My wife has battled something similar when she was younger (she is 32 now). They did cryo-surgery and away it went. Keep us updated please.

I fully understand what you are going through, I will add you to my prayer list. Just out of curiousity, how old are you? Anyway, if it is cancer, the cure rate for hereditary ovarian cancer is much higher than any other type. Just keep praying, and have faith.
