February 3, 2004 -- After paying for a halftime show - and instead getting a peep show - AOL may demand some of its money back. The Super Bowl was supposed to be AOL's chance to shine - the first salvo in its new $200 million advertising campaign.

"While AOL was the sponsor of the Super Bowl Halftime Show, we did not produce it"

While Hamas was the sponsor of the suicide bombing, we did not produce it.

Her stunt prevented AOL from streaming the halftime show online, which was part of its original deal.

she didn't show her breast till the very last seconds of the show

So how did this stop AOL from streaming the halftime show online??

Instead, its $10 million sponsorship of the halftime show and numerous commercial spots turned into a disaster because of Janet Jackson's inability to keep her clothes on, analysts said.

AOL's numerous commercial spots came a cropper because they were boring and stupid. Ms. Jackson's exposed mammary gland had nothing to do with that.

aol should get their money back.

all they ever did was run ads with the stars of a show that features women wrestling in spaghetti

Spare this site the ever persistant inclusion of Israel in every damn thread on this site. It's rather sickening as many threads like this have not a freaking thing to do with Israel, yet many of Jewish background make sure they interfere with non-Jewish articles. The other alternative would be to request from Jim Robinson that he advertises this site as a Jewish Conservative site so that others may know beforehand. The persistant whining grows thin on many.

Zionist interference bump.

I'll believe AOL cares about providing family-safe internetting when it dumps its rap radio channel. My co-worker plays it and it is filled with the most vile filth you could imagine, with the worst lines repeated ad nauseum.

Otherwise, I'd believe the SB halftime show is nothing but an extension of what they already offer - boob and all.

LOL. I'm Methodist not Jewish (and not fond of the few I know). I made the analogy to highlight AOLs cowardly attempt to avoid any responsibility as a sponsor.

Sorry dude, but Hamas was the first thing that came to my mind. Perhaps your perceived "persistant inclusion" is a reflection of your own hyper-sensitivity re all things Israeli. ;)

Not to mention that for the longest time, AOL looked the other way when their chat rooms were being used to distribute kiddie porn.

Didn't AOL know it was being produced by MTV? Surely they had an idea what they were sponsoring.

When sex sells the STDs are rampant - MTV gave AOL, CBS, Viacom and the NFL a nice dose of herpes.

Why don't you make the request?

I'm sure Jim Robinson will make some accomodation or other for you.

Once the conservative outrage dies down, the NFL won't mind it at all.
