Letters to the editor (teens and abortion)

Re "Abortion protest targets campus," Jan. 28: I am 16 years old and involved in pro-life activism. The reason why I go to middle schools and high schools is to show the truth about abortion. The truth is that one-third of my generation has been exterminated by abortion. Public schools can legally take a girl out of school to get an abortion without her parents' knowledge or consent. If the same student has a headache, the school would legally be prohibited from giving her an aspirin. If a girl is old enough to have an abortion, she is old enough to see what abortion is.

Kind of ghastly, when you think about it.

Yes.

I rarely weigh in on abortion, beyond posting a link or two, because it is such a nail-pulling, emotion-laden issue, which usually brings out the worst in people debating it- but I will say this:

Because of my background in business, I can't help but see the legion- of what? 44,000,000 now?- of aborted babies as "dead, potential customers and consumers."

Think how much stronger our economy and nation would be if they had simply been permitted to live...

"Are they victims of rape? Incest? An abusive husband or boyfriend? Is their health -- mental or physical -- in danger if their pregnancy goes to term? You do not know. I do not know. And it is none of our business."

Are they victims?!! Are we talking about the baby, or the "mother figure"?

Note the multiple qualifications of victim status, despite these barely significant situations which produced the child(men!!those bastards!!)

Devine reason demands attention to this massive attrition; an attention that we will be held accountable for. Responsibility is the prototypical "business".

If you extort(tax) funding for abortions from Catholics, you have disrespected, degraded, and denied them their clearly defined right to freedom of religion.

How incredibly ironic, and selfish, that a child murderer, extortionist, destroyer of religious faith, and destroyer of our entire Constitution; would mount a soapbox to hip us all to her right to privacy.

Pictures like this might be helpful to them. They are taken by a 3D Ultrasound. They also have 4D Videos that show even the tiniest baby moving. I had a 3D ultrasound when they were in the testing phase. The little baby shown below is 12 weeks.

SUBJECT: HUMAN LIFE and FREE WILL

The question of our individual life's genesis is open to the arena of argument because 'Nature's GOD' has refused to precisely pinpoint that moment we become human beings. Interesting how this is left to us to decide...

Clearly, as Americans, two of our most cherished values are brought into play in this debate - The right of individuals to exercise free will in the course of their lives and the responsibility to protect the innocent from harm.

Our morality and values draw a line for both which we as a people should hesitate to cross. Degrees of free will for some or a little protection to few amounts to becoming a people without posterity or purpose save for the present. For, no matter which choice we make we are forced to take the monumental risk of committing a grievous wrong.

In the end it comes to this; we will either become murderers of babies or we will deny free individuals the right of free will and choice. There are no other outcomes, especially since the truth to knowledge of that moment that we become entitled to life and liberty will not be revealed on this side of eternity.

Unfortunately, we are now in a position that we must choose to do one or the other. What we decide will be grounded in our collective beliefs and values; no more or no less. Rest assured, we have to decide which wrong we can live with - and pray that we are right. For the chances are equal - no matter which path we follow, we will at the same time be at most equally right or at least terribly wrong.

A thought from a recent past president of the
Federation of Americans waiting to be born:

"Abortion? I am all for it…
for “certain undesirable organizations”

"Abort N.O.W., NARAL, and Planned Parenthood!
Abort Roe v Wade and all “laws” that allow the
MURDER of my unborn friends!"

"Life is Sacred from the moment of conception!"

I'm 16, and if I am allowed to get an abortion, then why is it that I am told that I have no right to speak out against it?

Great point. I like this new generation.
