I don't doubt Fonda was there, but what about Kerry's picture. That's the one that looks doctored.

I don't think most people here get it. Either you are all retarded or you just don't care about winning. You cannot beat Kerry by talking about Vietnam so avoid this discussion at all times.

Why is it so hard for you people to understand. Prop up the War in Afghanistan and Iraq forget Vietnam we will lose if we touch that.

Concur, to a point. Hammer the post-war record. All the way back to Fonda and VVAW, and the charges of "rape and murder", through today, and the lack of support for the military.

President Bush's service from 1968 through April 1972 (when he stopped flying) was equivalent to regular military duty. Flying F-102 fighter jets is nothing to sneeze at.

Lets be honest here, be up front with what we have. Flying a jet is dangerous but being in the jungles of Vietnam trumps that 1000x over. That is why I say stay away from this topic. Mainstream America knows that over 40,000 people died in Vietnam, they don't know how many pilots die in the national guard!!!

Stick to the war on terror and Iraq. Quit trying to find something that isn't there. There weren't that many hostile people shooting SAMS in and around Alabama and most people know that so stay away from Vietnam and promote the present and the future. War on Terror and Iraq...say it with me now War on Terror and Iraq...Again....Again.

So you believe we should ignore the AWOL charges leveled at Bush and the cozy Fonda-Kerry anti-war relationship? Let the RATS rewrite history as they do so often and get away with it? Not in my opinion.

But then what do I know. I only served in Viet Nam just before Kerry did and was likely stationed at the same location (Vung Tau) as he was. I spent two weeks shy of a year on near-shore coastal patrol and despised what he did when he returned. I was in college then and subject to the anti-war taunts of the protesters. I didn't advertise my military service because of that. The military has gotten over the disgrace of that period, but I'm sure many of those of us who fought there at the time agree that Kerry, with his actions after his return, dishonored the medals he received.

First I know this is an emotional issue but leave it out of this argument and be logical. Does it really look presidential for the president to be refuting petty questions as to whether or not he went AWOL, he's the president!!!! Just say you served your time and thats it. Don't dip into the other guys actual combat experience, because in all honesty Kerry does have a better combat experience compared to Bush. That is why we need to get the hell away from this. We need to set out a plan for the future not on whose Balls are bigger.

If we stay talking about this subject it will just catch on more and more and more until it sticks to him and we lose. Don't fall for this just ignore it.

The Democrats used to make fun of Bob Dole's prosthetic arm... some he got as a result of his service in WWII.

What really needs to be done is for Bush to simply say "I lived up to my obligation" - and then divert the attention to what's been done since 'Nam - Kerry has plenty of things to hide there, and if the Republicans would concentrate on that, the AWOL crap would go away.

Thats exactly what I want. Bush should just say I did my time and let it go and talk about his plans for our country in the future. I agree exactly with you

Let him get all pigeon chested.......soon someone will post his pic with Fonda and will also bring up that the medals he's so proud of now he threw away then.......

He openly claimed he was ashamed of his affiliation with the US military then when it was popular and promoting his own agenda.............has anything changed with this POS ?.........NO !

Stay Safe !

That's exactly what the President did this morning. He said he served his time, the records are open, and this is all just politics. Well, it is. And he shouldn't have to answer anything else about it. But by dismissing it this way won't make the charge go away. They'll just yell louder and repeat it longer so that more of the sheeple believe. Damned if you do; damned if you don't.

Maybe you just ignore it, and likewise Kerry's actions upon his return. But those of us who were over there find it very tough to give Kerry a pass on this, even if we must push it aside to focus on today and tomorrow.

The primary mission of the Convair F-102 "Delta Dagger" was as a short-range, supersonic interceptor. They were designed in the mid-1950's to dispatch any Soviet or Eastern-block nuclear bombers that might penetrate friendly airspace, particularly over the arctic. By the late 1960's, these planes, while no longer among the fastest in service (top speed 825 mph), were becoming obsolete. The 102 had been replaced in frontline service by the Convair/General Dynamics F-106 Delta Dart. Thin-winged and in many respects, "over-powered," these planes were considered hot rides and "widow-makers."

Rush is talking about the bottom picture on his show right now, and he is going to post it on his web site!
(BTW, the picture I was referring to last night was the upper one with Kerry behind her on the podium -- that is the one that looks Photoshopped.)
