Why is The Times still covering this putz? They should focus on a more viable candidate, like Ralph Nader.

Dean needs to take revenge on his party and the press by running as a Green.

I can't get enough Dean. Seriously, I love watching him like I love those Fox shows that feature shows of really stupid people doing dumb things and hurting themselves badly. The "I have a scream" speech ranks right up there with drunks jumping off hotel roofs and missing the pool or skateboarders overestimating their skills and smashing their face into a metal railing.
I guess I'm weird, but if somebody put out a Wellstoneapalooza DVD, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

GREEN BAY, Wis., Jan. 9 Reversing his statement to get out of the race if he failed to win Wisconsin's primary on Feb. 17, Howard Dean said today that "it's not going to be the end of the line" and that "we're going to find a way to stay in one way or the other."I am thrilled to hear it! Now all our "Dean People Suck" t-shirts and buttons won't have been a complete waste of money.

Dennis Kucinich Haikus, for you...
Little Denny boy Turned the lights out years ago Still not very bright
Boy Blunder beware Our dear Mistake on the Lake Was his own Default
In Cleveland we Trust His reign ever in turmoil Let George pay the bill
Recall the Mayor One who did so much damage In so little time
Imagine our town Shining City on the Bluff Gone in one big Puff
He said so proudly Rebuild the neighborhoods now Big Banks had a cow

The Times is still covering ''this putz'' because Howie keeps things interesting, because it's still a long time until convention, because a lot of delegates are still up for grabs & because running for president does not make one immortal, in the practical sense of the word. More than that, the press is interested (or should be) in what Wisconsin is going to do--noting that Bush narrowly lost the state in 2000. I would NOT be surprised if Dean wins in WI, the addt'l wrinkle being that WI is an open primary state.
