Kerry-Fonda pic
Actress and activist Jane Fonda attends an anti-Vietnam War rally at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The rally was sponsored by Vietnam veterans. John Kerry can be seen directly in the background. 1970 Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, USALeif Skoogfors (CORBIS)
WASH TIMES 2/11 Rep. Sam Johnson, Texas Republican, who spent nearly seven years in a prisoner-of-war camp in Vietnam, said yesterday the photograph of Mr. Kerry with Miss Fonda will hurt him nevertheless. "I think it symbolizes how two-faced he is, talking about his war reputation, which is questionable on the one hand, and then coming out against our veterans who were fighting over there on the other," Mr. Johnson said. Mr. Johnson recalled that his North Vietnamese captors played recordings of Miss Fonda telling U.S. troops to give up the war. "Seeing this picture of Kerry with her at antiwar demonstrations in the United States just makes me want to throw up."

We need to determine the $64 thousand dollar question: did Jane Fonda ever contribute now, or has she ever previously contributed, to Kerry's campaigns?

I think this is a very important, little known fact:
John Kerry served in Vietnam.
I know, I know - it's shocking!

Does anyone have the article Rush just mentioned about the N. Vietnam General who said if it wasn't for groups like Kerry's, the US may have won?

Rush just read a letter by a N Vietnamese general that stated in his memoirs that if it wasn't for organizations like the one Kerry lead (Viet Nam vets against the war), the N Vietnamese would not have continued the war.
Rush credited Ollie North with the info.

SNIP.............
JOHN F. KERRY: Mr. President, I could explore other possible ominous consequences of letting Saddam Hussein proceed unchecked. The possible scenarios I have referenced really are only the most obvious possibilities. What is vital is that Americans understand, and that the Security Council understand, that there is no good outcome possible if he is permitted to do anything other than acquiesce to continuation of U.N. inspections.
As the world's only current superpower, we have the enormous responsibility not to exhibit arrogance, not to take any unwitting or unnecessary risks, and not to employ armed force casually. But at the same time it is our responsibility not to shy away from those confrontations that really matter in the long run. And this matters in the long run.

Kerry has been caught using Canadian telemarkers to call potential voters in Wisconsin.
Funny how he wants to keep jobs at home and then outsources his own campaign work.
This is the number that shows up when one of Kerry's "outsourced" campaign workers calls to ask you to vote for him;
416 214-9514
I just heard this from someone I know in Wisconsin.

In the 1970s when Kerry was active in the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, the Communist Daily Worker published many articles, with photos, detailing his exploits. Kerry's attacks on the US Military and his support of Hanoi drew the attention of the Communist Daily Worker such that Kerry became one of their favorite subjects. The past issues of Communist Daily Worker are available on NEXUS, the companion to the Law Library Internet Service LEXUS. Any lawyer should be able to access the archives of NEXUS, get the 1970 issues of teh Communist Daily Worker and publish here articles which show how strongly the Communist world felt Kerry was on their side in his effort to undermine the US in Vietnam and abandon all his brothers still fighting and dying in Vietnam while he sided with Jane Fonda.

I discovered in an old New York Times article (on his first wedding), that Kerry had been orator at his 1966 class graduation and that he had spoke out against U.S. foreign policy in that speech. I also discovered through one of the links on the vanity thread that I posted about this speech, that Kerry was supposed to have made an entirely different speech. Just hours prior to giving the speech, he changed the subject matter. The speech he was supposed to give had already been printed up by the school. I checked with the Archives at Yale and they told me they could not find any record of either speech. I find that hard to believe, but I have no other way of pursuing this.
The New York Times article also claims that Kerry told them that he went to Vietnam to study the U.S. policy there first-hand. This leads me to believe that he didn't go because he felt a compulsion to serve, but went to further his political education/beliefs for future use when running for public office.

When he approached his draft board for permission to study for a year in Paris, the draft board refused and Kerry decided to enlist in the Navy.
http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=352185 In short, Kerry became a war hero only because his first choice--to evade enlisting--was denied him. Kerry either needs to stick by his 1992 claim that how people served shouldn't matter, OR he needs to be held accountable both for his own choices prior to enlisting and for his subsequent decisions to give aid and comfort to the enemy upon his return. When Bush's actual record of service is compared to Kerry's full record, most impartial voters will be able to make up their own minds which individual better merits serving as CINC.

The more I read about this bugger, the more obvious it is that he had his political life all planned out from the time he first met JFK and worked for Teddy. His anti-war rhetoric began before he graduated from college, and his liberal ways ("most people on the welfare roles deserve to be there") haven't changed one iota.
