The airline "promotes an environment of respect for the diversity of all persons, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, disability, gender, age or sexual orientation."

I can personally vouch for That! /sar

What really irritates me about flying these days is those infernal carry-ons that people insist upon toting on-board with them. What is it with that? Why can't they just check their luggage like normal folk?

I don't do the carry-on routine at all. At most, I might take my laptop bag. But usually, I'm content to come aboard with just a good book to read and a bag of peanuts (to supplement the 7 1/2 peanuts that come in an airline peanut package).

And what is it with the people who insist upon standing up in the aisle as soon as the plane gets to the gate? What's the big hurry? You know it's going to take a few minutes for the gate people to secure the gate to the airplane and get the door open. Yet these people insist on standing up in the aisles, looking like the dorks that they are. Why can't they just calmly remain seated (as I do) and read their damn books? What I do, is I purposely stay seated until everybody is off the plane. Then I calmly get up and stride confidently to the baggage carousel, by which time all the people who were in such a rush to get off that plane are STILL WAITING for their luggage, huffing and puffing and all stressed out over nothing at all.

Oh yeah, and I have a message for all the mothers who insist upon taking their young ones on the plane with them. Your children are NOT cute. Instead, they are an annoyance to me and you really should keep them seated and quiet for the duration of the flight.

Thank you and good day.

You are right. He could have made it a tad more concise by changing "Apologizes" to "Sorry", but that could have given the mistaken impression the Chief's name was actually "Sorry", which would be silly but not nearly as silly as if his last name was "Apologizes", but then again more silly than if his name was "Chief Running Bear". But then, Running Bear would be a silly name for a head of American Airlines. A more fitting name would be "Chief American Airlines". But would it be silly to point out that that could be misconstrued to be synonymous with "Primary American Airlines", which would be completely wrong not to mention completely nonsensical? No, it is clear, this was as close to excerpting perfection as we mortals will ever achieve. A + + + + + + + + + + + + +!

If I were an American co-pilot I would refuse to get in the cockpit with him until he had been cleared by a shrink.
