Our society is faced with one of the greatest assaults on freedom, values, and respect for the rule of law since the Civil War. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome and his brown shirts (or would they say pink shirts) have laid Liberalism’s true intolerant and barbarous nature bare with their tossing aside of all respect for the Law and the expressed will of the California people (like a used “gay day” Disney ticket) with their decision to unilaterally sanction same sex marriages. Leftists are attempting to churn out a smoke screen of disinformation to mask this fascist act as a human rights issue. However, the stark fact remains that Mayor Newsome has usurped the power of the people and warped it to fit his ideological agenda, just as the Nazis did in World War II.
Liberals, in their arrogance, feel their goals of creating a secular humanist, valueless, Socialist Utopia take precedence over everything, including the opinions of those unfortunate enough to have to share the same planet with them. So, big deal if 61% of the voters of California voted that marriage would be defined as “one man, one woman”. All of us ignorant, under educated, unsophisticated, reading with our lips moving slobs are just going to have to realize that one publicity seeking zealot has decided all of our values and laws are wrong, and he has the right to change them. Not surprisingly, Liberals from across the nation have rallied to Newsome’s side as he has marshaled the entire Liberal Abuse of Power Posse to his aid.
First to come slavering to Newsome’s defense is the news media. Imagine for a moment that the issue was not same sex marriage, but a mayor of a city voiding all state and federal gun control laws. How do you suppose our “unbiased” media would portray this story? Do you actually think they would point out that over 90% of firearms purchased by Americans are never fired one time even for target practice, let alone criminal activity? No, but they certainly will report about the “oppression” gays feel because many Americans believe homosexuality is morally wrong and should not be celebrated in our elementary schools. The news media will never portray the San Francisco gay marriage issue as it is: An abject abuse of power by a conceited petty Hitler desperate for attention, just as they will never say a gun is anything but a self automated killing machine.
Second, Leftists are using their judicial activist Liberal judges in the way we have always feared. Instead of enforcing the law, they are participating with Newsome in violating it. The California Courts have now become a dictatorial politically motivated oligarchy bashing down all dissent rather than the unbiased arbiter of justice. Newsome is claiming that the ban on gay marriage violates the “Equal Protection” clause of the Constitution. That is all fine and well, but in the sane world citizens seeking relief from laws they do not agree go to court before they just haul off and do whatever they want (that is one of those things that separate normal folks from criminals). If there is a serious legal question about the legality of a law, ethical judges will issue a stay until the court can fully consider the legal issue. Not so in this case. Here, Superior Court Judge Ronald Quidachay refused to halt the same sex marriages because there was no evidence of “immediate and irreparable harm” from the couples being wed. No harm to anything except the Rule of Law and common civility. Odd, the Federal Government thought it was fine to kill a teenaged boy and the mother of a newborn baby at Ruby Ridge because Randy Weaver missed a court date. Who was wronged by that? I am not trying to be facetious, I just want to know if I can break the law anytime I find it convenient, too.
The last Liberal force swooping in on the unsuspecting people of California is the most powerful and deadly: Political Correctness. For years, Americans have been trained that anytime they disagree with a Liberal cause they are guilty of intolerance, hate speech, or one of the various “isms” that supposedly indicates a flaw in their character. However, when you really look at it P.C. it can be summarized into one sentence: Freedom of Speech is a one way street. If you disagree with Liberals, then they feel that you should only free enough to shut your mouth and stop annoying them with bothersome facts. Now, as many Americans try express their outrage at Mayor Newsome’s usurping the power of the state legislature, they are met with cries of “homophobia” and “denying people their rights”. This is the biggest lie the Liberals are trying to use to frighten us away from defending our rights. (F.Y.I. All rights not officially sanctioned by the Leftists as thoroughly anti-American are simply unacceptable and worthy of complete repression. If you doubt me, try to start a Boy Scout troop at your local school.) All Americans are asking is to be made a part of decisions that effect their way of life, and then have their democratically created laws enforced as they were intended.
The crux of the San Francisco gay marriage issue is not homosexuality per se, but the right of the citizens to decide for themselves the very nature and character of the society in which they live. There is no human right more fundamental than this. The right of self determination is the very definition of a democracy, and this is what the Liberals are taking away. Throughout history, opponents of freedom and the oppressors of the masses have utilized government to make decisions instead of the people rather than for them. Now that American Liberals are following in the footsteps of the Nazis, the Fascists and Communists, we all have to ask ourselves when enough is enough. How much will we abhor?
That is exactly the response that is required.

In some small town & rural areas of California, the local sheriffs (who have discretionary power over CCWs), do exactly that -- they issue a permit to any honest citizen who asks, just as if they were in a "shall-issue" state.
Alas, here in Lost Angeles county, it ain't so.
